DISTRESSED DAMSELS: Mostly Shirow VINTAGE CON SKETCHES edition!
Added 2020-08-12 13:01:02 +0000 UTCRecently dug up a few photocopies of vintage con sketches with a DiD theme, so here they is! The first two are, of course, Major Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell; the third is Chiffon, an obscure character from (I think) Shirow's manga Dominion; and the last is Giant Robomaid Anna from my 1998 miniseries Gen13: Magical Drama Queen Roxy, accompanied by a color guide from the series in case you'd forgotten her.
On the last Anna sketch, a word of warning to artists taking on commissions:
Be wary of accepting requests for giant-sized characters, as you're gonna have to draw a whole bunch of background detail in order to establish their scale. (That said, this particular piece wasn't all that heavy on urban BG work; I recall doing another Anna piece that featured far more in the way of such detail.) *cue "The More You Know" music*

Those chains look suspiciously thin and flimsy to hold a Giant Robomaid that's even halfheartedly trying to escape. B. Anna's facial expression looks, uh, pleasured. Hey, I'm not kinkshaming, Giant Robomaids have needs too.
