WORK STAGES: EMPOWERED vol.12's back-cover illo, pt.1!
Added 2021-09-10 13:00:08 +0000 UTCFresh and piping-hot off the ol' drawing board, here are the B&W work stages for Empowered vol.12's truly unusual back-cover illo of fantasy RPG-based characters "Goblin Ninja Kozue" (a variant of Ninjette, of course) and "Devilspawn Bard Hannah" (a variation of Mindf**k).

Note that, sadly, in the final illo you can't quite make out the full digitigrade pose of Devilspwn Hannah, as seen in the rough...
...so I'm very likely going to reuse that pretty solid pose as the basis for a future Xmas-gift illustration of my niece's Tiefling Bard D&D character. (Shh, don't tell her!)
And now, time to write and draw the Empowered vol.12 scene featuring these wacky RPG variants. Yay!
