This month's Design Tuesdays feature is covering my initial character designs for the 1997 DC Comics Prestige Format (ooh!) one-shot Titans: Scissors, Paper, Stone.
This time around, we're featuring my sketches of Gabrielle Marin-Reyes, the story's prosthetic-bodied analogue for the original Titans' Cyborg. She's kinda-sorta named after my roommate from the Kubert School—hi, Gato, not that you're reading this!—though her first name probably should've been Gabriela instead of Gabrielle. Then again, perhaps I had some rationale for that, much like my elaborate reasoning for why BGC: Grand Mal's Peter Vashevskaya wasn't instead named Vashnevski, the more proper male form. (Long story, needless to say.)
Next Tuesday, we'll check in on the alien enemies that the Titans battled! (Whole bunch of designs for these puppies, turns out.)
TOMORROW ON THIS HERE PATREON: Time for the $5+ Patron tiers to get their weekly dose of damsel in distress imagery with the next set of pages from "Dandelion Hair vs. Rather Generic Jungle Girl."
