DESIGN TUESDAY: Sistah Spooky's EMPOWERED vol.10 redesign
Added 2021-02-23 14:01:02 +0000 UTCBehold, in the gallery above, my design sketch for the civilian version of Sistah Spooky seen in the Empowered vol.10 story "My Dinner with Spookums," along with jpegs of the first few pages in which that redesign appeared.
Note that the "H" on her hoodie's chest stands for "Hannah," of course.
And here's the random photo I dug up online that was the photoref basis for said leather hoodie:
Between the initial design sketch and the actual story, I decided also to redo Spooky's hair design, as seen in the first-draft title page below (note the "for-position-only" hand-scrawled lettering, replaced in the published version with typeset text):
That's all I got for today, folks; and now, back to drawing the gory mayhem of Empowered vol.12's "Scary, Violent, Badass Emp" sequence, which I'll likely post here later in the week.

I ADORE this look on Spooky (oversized hoodies are the best). The little H is so sweet. Also, damn son, those backgrounds!! O.o
