Proposed changes. Please read.
Added 2022-06-24 07:56:04 +0000 UTCOkay, it's been almost nine years since I updated the prices on Patreon and they have to be raised. I don't like doing it especially in the current climate, but it needs doing. Especially because the way I incentivise. You might notice the magic number of $600. That's the incentive to have a comic every day of the week. Donations have pretty much been hovering around there for said nine years and is the only thing most people care about. If it dipped below $600, I get a pledge. Close or over $700? I lose them. People just want to maintain the daily updates.
Edit: I had this pointed out to me that this could just be a number of people thing and a lot of comics have kept steady donations like mine. Sure I can increase the price to be inline with inflation, but I'd still have the same number of Patreons. If that's the case, having a few days off to work on other things might get those numbers up or add another source of income.
I've discussed this with a few people, and the number we got was $800 for 7 days a week. $700 for 6 days ect. If I get the money, great. If I don't, I'll get some days off, which also great. I can use that time on Patreon updates other projects I have in my head. Maybe I should swap to number of patreons instead. I dunno.
Also I might scrap the art intensive rewards. For starters, they are massively under-priced. Plus the people who claim the reward slots never make requests anyway. The only one that does is Minzoku and that's only because she gave me carte blanche to just draw her characters however I felt like. Again, people only seem to care about SSDD updates.
Another thing to try is to post the next days comic here a day early. Would that be too spammy?
Anyway, let me know what you think in the comments. I won't make any changes until at least the end of the month.

Your reward tiers in general are too cheap - $1 usually only buys a "warm fuzzy feeling of doing something good to support an artist" ;-) Would argue to go for a minimum of 4.90$ for any content and 9.90$ for premium content. Agree with the earlier poster that NSFW content could have an extra tier (15-20$ range). Also agree the art tiers are waaaay too cheap (unless it's for work that you would be doing anyways like integrating a character into a comic you were already planning on). Love the comic, not supporting it because of any reward. Would recommend to go higher with your planned goal level increases - at minimum 1k for 7 comics a week - even that feels significantly underpaid to me. Especially if you want to more consistently put effort into rewards so people pay for them.
