DragonCon is Upcoming!
As DragonCon races towards us, I'm trying to put together a Jester cosplay, from Critical Role! (You can see her cloak in the featured image here.) You can check out some work-in-progress images on my pinned Twitter thread or on the Facebook album if you want to see more.
I'm also planning a second new cosplay for DragonCon, but we'll see if that's going to happen... with only 31 days left, I'm not sure if I'll be able to finish Jester and a new costume and the next thing:
2019 Calendar!
My self-imposed deadline for all the 2019 calendar pin-up images happens to correspond with DragonCon — and while I could slightly adjust that deadline, any extension I give myself cuts into the time my designer has, so I'd prefer not to do that if I can!
For this calendar, I'm making twelve brand new Game of Thrones costumes! I currently have 3 done... which is not enough, haha! With 31 days left before my deadline (which includes props and shooting the photos!) I definitely need to pick up the pace.
Regular life stuff!
Of course, on top of all that, I still have to do all my other regular life stuff, like fulfilling Patreon rewards (working on June now!), doing the freelance copywriting that I do as backup income, and taking care of my other commitments, like cosplay appearances and stuff like... cleaning my poor cats' litterboxes and such, haha!
Not to mention, I'm planning another big project that I hope to complete by the end of the year... plus I have Halloween and Christmas concepts I'd love to squeeze in. Ahh!! Can someone please figure out how to clone me??
Anyway, that's the short-form update! You can expect June rewards to start being posted this coming week, and I'll also start doing the promised $5+ additional streams, starting with some long crafting streams for these dang Game of Thrones costumes!
Also, the Ginny Di-scord is hoppin', so make sure you're hanging out with us there. We have a productivity channel that I'm obsessed with, a venting channel for when you just have to get out some of your frustration, and an increasingly active Critical Role channel, among others! If you have any trouble with getting Discord hooked up, please let me know.

2018-07-31 08:36:54 +0000 UTCI appreciate that, but don't worry, I'm not doing these things because I think Patrons demand it of me, I'm doing them because they're all projects that I want to be working on!! I know it's a lot, but I don't particularly want to wear any of these Game of Thrones costumes to DragonCon!

2018-07-30 13:29:35 +0000 UTCI think Daniel has a great idea in using one of the GOT costumes to take some of the pressure off on the DragonCon front. Plus it could be good advertisement for the upcoming calendar. Everyone here would want nothing but to see you succeed in every venture of yours, but never want you to feel pressured or burn yourself out, so please, TAKE CARE! If this means just letting something go, or get pushed back a couple of months, then do so. It will ultimately be for the best, and not cause you any further stress. We all believe and have faith in you!! And what you can and have done speaks for itself in regards to the quality and magnificence of every aspect of your stellar work! But everyone wouldn't mind if you take a step back and give yourself room to breathe in regards to commitment to patreon. We're here because we believe in you! So just look after you, and we'll be happy with that the most!!
