Ho-Jae + Simel = Friends Forever ❤️❤️

Probably one of the most fun relationships in this story. I mean, what’s more fun than two characters having a drastically different view on what their relationship is? Yes, one of my favourite books is The Collector from 1963, how could you tell? 

If you’re wondering why I’m drawing so much Simel stuff, then, well… What can I say except that the upcoming two floors are quite inspiring?

No spoilers, though. 

Man, I really don’t want to go on a ramble here, but this IS patreon, so people (I think) are more okay with me talking meta about the story, so, I guess it’s okay to be a little spoiler-y? Just slightly. 

To me, as the author, the most fun part of this story is really the many relationships Ho-Jae is apart of and how they play out and everything like that. After all, much like myself, he isn’t the kind of person who has ever had too many real relationships outside of his family, so now that he’s actually in (somewhat) friendly relationships, he doesn’t know exactly how to handle them. Where does an aquaintence go over into being a friend? Do both people have to agree to be friends for it to be a friendship? I have no idea! I’m a diagnosed autist, I haven’t a singular clue!

So, then, no matter what relationship Ho-Jae slips into, he’ll almost always be fumbling into it, like an inexperienced lover unsure where to put his hands. Except there’s no romance in this case—just a whooole lot of blood. Hehe.

Throughout the course of the story, Ho-Jae will have a number of important relationships. These are as following:

Ho-Jae and Moleman

Ho-Jae and Simel

Ho-Jae and Rice (hasn’t appeared yet lol)

and Ho-Jae and his sister.

This isn’t to mention numerous side characters, be they secondary or tertiary. Ho-Jae is fun in his absurdity. The relationships he has, then, cannot be anything but absurd. Out of these four, Moleman is probably the closest to a true friend. Simel really despises him. And as for Rice and his sister… that’s too much of a spoiler, even for me! We’ll get there. Rice will arrive sooner than you’d think, hehe. 

But, I’ve already rambled too much. It is time for me to skedaddle. I’ve got a doctor’s appointment I just can’t miss, hehe.
