So it's all plummed in now. RTS, RPG, Visual Novel. They all can flow into each other naturally. Early on when undergoing drone training, you can access the terminals to initiate your RTS campaigns.
There are RTS ops, the first 6 or 7 are mandatory, tutorial like missions with the final couple being your graduation battle after that they are optional, but you get goodies and rank for completing them.
The Other type is RTS Quests, these are more specific missions and you can get rare items, unlock new ship units and so on
Another big win was, given that I haven't ever seen a game like this before, mixing RPG, RTS and Visual Novel; I always had a slight worry there might be a reason to that. I.e. maybe it just isn't possible and takes too much memory.
Well , I proved that out this morning by creating ways to clean up memory whenever switching between modes and it works smoothly and fine!
