Excel LADZ - AFL Model
Added 2023-07-21 12:14:47 +0000 UTCG'day lads, I've constructed an Excel model to predict the scores for the Australian Football League (AFL). In this basic file, simply select two teams, and their Expected Points along with their Probability of Winning will appear! See the file attached below! Constant updates will happen to this file, as I add more and more features (e.g. venue, home advantage, squad consideration etc).
Reminder: To update the model to take into account the most recent games played, go into the 'Data' tab. Then, select the 'Refresh All' icon. This will update the power query (which is the link to an AFL Website and updates the stats), and the most recent scores will be taken into account. Note that the website itself may take 1-2 days for it to record games being played, so don't get worried if you're seeing stats a day or two old 👍
