2024-05-30 03:06:02 +0000 UTCI do like your Excel Tutorials as well. I would love for you to do one with Random Forest predictions. I was doing one with Python, but would love to see one with Excel.

2024-01-16 22:06:56 +0000 UTCHi lad! I suppose the model could be tweaked so that some teams may not play each other as much as other matchups (like in the AFL & NRL). With the existing model, you could just exclude fixtures. For example, make a double round robin for the NRL. Then delete the fixtures at the end of the season so that it ends at 27 rounds. The only problem with this is for a league with an odd amount of teams, the Bye Rounds will be uneven for each teams. I'll investigate a new model taking this into account lad ๐

2024-01-16 22:05:12 +0000 UTCGenerate Fixtures like in the AFL or the NRL? Not just a double round robin

2024-01-16 04:56:56 +0000 UTCHi LaD, Rebound model sounds fantastic, I just have one question, would it be possible to reserve 4 or 5 cells for us(users) to add more stats so we can play around , it should be simple and already part of formula so if we chose to add another stat we dont break our brains.

2024-01-12 08:37:51 +0000 UTCHi lad, I'm glad to hear! Right now I'm focusing on making two videos: an NHL Model and an NBA Rebound Model. With the Rebound Model I'll take into account more stats than the NBA Model (e.g. PACE) to project the flow of the game. This'll make the rebound projections as accurate as possible lad ๐

2024-01-12 06:46:49 +0000 UTCThanks for the suggestion lad ๐ I was thinking of publishing an ELO-Based March Madness model before the end of February. But of course, the models you described are much more accurate. Just need to find a good dataset though, it's often a lot of trouble ๐ข

2024-01-12 06:44:39 +0000 UTCHey Ladz. Love the NBA model and have been using it on just about a daily basis. Using the formula to predict players points I ran 1000 simulations to give a good prop line which has proven pretty successful. Any chance you can show how to calculate rebounds and assists as well?

2024-01-11 05:45:33 +0000 UTChI LAd, Anything for college basketbal/football preferably using neural networks and maybe throw in a little random forest with 10 year database, all in one small excel/python package

2024-01-11 00:05:06 +0000 UTCThanks for your suggestion lad ๐ The player-driven MBL Model is definitely something I'm looking to publish before the start of the season. With regards to the spread, you're correct. It's just a number of points added to a team's final score So if the Celtics have a value of -7, then they are given a disadvantage of 7 points at the start of the game. If they won 116-111, then they failed to cover the spread. Factors like weighting player data to favour their recent form, specific home court advantage and rebound+assist projections can also be added into the NBA model ๐ That might be something I focus on before the end of the season arrives.

2024-01-09 09:24:17 +0000 UTCThanks for the suggestion lad, it's definitely something I'm looking to do. I might start with an NBA model as my existing model could be helpful ๐

2024-01-09 09:18:05 +0000 UTCHi lad, thanks for watching ๐ I could definitely make some videos on how to draw under/over probabilities using the Poisson Distribution. A Return on Investment sheet for potential trades might also be useful lad, thanks a lot!

2024-01-09 09:15:28 +0000 UTCLove your videos! I'd like to see more on soccer, particularly a sheet to predict Home Wins and Over 2.5 Goals. Also maybe a dashboard that would highlight various Trading opportunities

2024-01-09 07:25:55 +0000 UTChey, how can more variables be added to the nba model for a generally more informed decision. in-versing the spread probability seems to the better option at the moment in the model. not sure if the spread probability takes into account that if the spread is -11 they would need to win by more then 11 and at 11 they could lose by no more then -11 ? also player driven mlb, nfl models. thanks for the work you put out.
