2022-10-10 06:21:06 +0000 UTCidk, if you think about it they all have pretty significant implications anchors break range limit and can work basically like nukes, planetary range disaster that Rain plants simply by hiding small crystal thing somewhere, same with utility, Rain can buff and protect ppl not even being on the same continent overgrowth at least doubles effective hp of everyone, it remains to be seen if cap rises with lvl (in which case we can see reasonable growth to 3,5 max hp over 15 lvls, or downright insane 15x). That should be worth a ton on melees that have insane hp by high strength and skills buffing it, and the fact effect persists and is applied over an area means Rain can make an army of silvers/golds at least twice as hard to kill once, and they will use that lets say sixth months later, taking by surprise some other army unity also should work on multiple parties, so Rain using it can cover vast area and empower quite many ppl, and Rains bears the cost for all shared spells, so with his build it means unlimited spamming of mana-cost spells for everyone, it may also synergise with anchors to allow Rain to borrow/lend skills over vast distances, which would be crazy

He'd fight the Empire even if he wasn't being brainwashed, the Warden would have a harder time justifying brain raping one of the few "good" Citizens, not to mention any future scenes we get of the Warden will likely be more interesting if there's a someone else nearby instead of a mind clone. Someone like Jarro.

Considering how the device drills into a person's brain, having it forcibly extricated in a split second could not have been good for her, nevermind whatever soul fuckery the warden did after the removal.

2022-10-02 11:35:41 +0000 UTCA better solution would be to further refine his Detection topological minimap. upgrading it to a digital 'monitor' in front of his eyes would let Tallheart designe a completely enclosed helm. Rain very rarely needs to aim at anything or perform fine motor movements, so the very basic 3-d rendering of his surroundings would be sufficient for most situations. Upgrading his sensor suite like this would also make Rain immediately aware of invisible enemies, as his detection pulses will return an image of the person's soul, but no visible body.

The moment with the announcer definitely got me. Rain is really gonna have to get Ethereal Helm at some point. It only requires mana sight which he plans on getting anyways. Walking around with a totally enclosed helmet might look weird, but takes care of like the only weak point he has when armored up. Add it to the neverending list of skills to unlock. He might snag it when he's platinum, at this rate.
