To remark on Bob and Henry's discussion on PTSD and specifically Kaiser. I once lived on the bay area and Kaiser did more or less suck up there, but I now live in Southern California and it is excellent. However, I too decided to seek therapy for my diagnosed PTSD and their psych program is the fucking worst. My psychiatrist was great and helped me get on some medication that helped me, but then because they had no available in house psychologists for talk therapy they referred me out to someone who didn't even accept Kaiser insurance so I had to pay out of pocket. I'm doing much better now, but it really felt terrible to essentially be thrown into the wilderness by my healthcare provider

The timeslot change was my falling off point with King of the Hill as well. I never followed it to Tuesday or wherever they put it, just like I wouldn't when they did the same to Futurama. The thing that sucks too is the executive who made the move probably just think it proves that the show wasn't really popular when the audience doesn't follow it, but that's not true at all. As a result, I've seen little of this era of King of the Hill we're heading into and I really need to watch more of it.

I remember my season 6 King of the Hill DVD had an ad for the season 7 set "coming soon". It wasnt soon though, and I had stopped buying DVDs by the time it actually came out.

Regarding gout- high dose ibuprofen is actually my first line treatment for acute gout flares in young healthy people. The other meds are expensive or higher chance of side effects. Also, diet modification can be helpful but if you’ve had multiple flares already you should be on allopurinol already, that would do more than any diet change.

When y’all mentioned Catholicism, my opinion changed overtime but for more leftists reasons. Learning about liberation theology in Latin American made me less atheist if that makes sense? Many of these preachers advocated for the oppressed and some were brutally murdered by the government such as Oscar Romero in El Salvador. The more mainstream version of Catholicism still sucks, but liberation theology is alright with me.

It isn't surprising (especially these days) that Fox didn't learn anything about how changing a show's day willy nilly can really hurt its ratings, but them doing to three GREAT animated shows in the same decade is just mind-numbling stupid. People are still doing it to this day too - the Flash has one final season coming in 2023, and for the ENTIRE run up until now the show had been on at 8pm on Tuesdays, but for some reason the final episodes will be on Wednesday nights. Obviously the show is not as big as Simpsons or King of the Hill at their peak, and it won't risk cancellation because it's GOING to end, but it's still frustrating to see changes like this that seemingly have no reason beyond an exec thinking they have to shake things up because they don't do any ACTUAL work besides fuck around with what other people had established to look "busy."

Unfortunately, Disney Plus in the UK still doesn't have King of the Hill. Hopefully, sometime soon. ❤

Sorry Henry, you might be getting better insurance but Seattle has the most overwhelmed mental healthcare in the country, six month wait times to see a psychiatrist, most therapists not accepting patients. I ended up having to pay too much money for better health, even with the decent insurance I get from my job.

So maybe Bob and Henry would know this: Since you bring up Steven and Connie, has Rebecca Sugar ever said if that relationship is in some way a reference to Bobby and Connie? Because there are some parallels and it sure seems like Sugar would have watched KotH.
