I love how you can feel both slight resentment from Weiss in addition to sympathy she has for her mother. It’s such a deep scene and there’s a lot one can pick up on from it.

2022-01-10 00:27:58 +0000 UTCI would also like to remind everyone of when Weiss lights Brunswick Farm on fire in volume 6. After throwing the alcohol and using it as fuel there’s this odd moment where she lingers and stares. I do genuinely believe she was thinking of her mother in that moment—especially since she saw Qrow suffering from his alcoholism at its worst.

Mama Schnee has entered the story \^o^/ In volume 5 Weiss says Willow started drinking sometimes during her childhood/teen years, after she realised Jacques just married her for the money/company. And it changes ones perspective on Whitley, doesn't it, to consider what he has been stuck with and how Winter and Weiss leaving looked like to him.
