Couple of details I loved about the movie: - All the cake simbolism. When Miles arrives late for his high school reunion with his parents, the counselor says "You can't have your cake and eat it too" and Miles replies with "Unless you make two cakes." Then when he can't fit his message for his dad in one cake he buys two. And then of course all this reflects the main plot situation: Miguel O'Hara says Miles can't save his father and the multiverse (he can't have his cake and eat it) but Miles is still gonna try. I'm not sure if he'll succeed though, because the two cakes he bought ended up a mess and then his mother told him to "be holding a normal nice cake" next time. π€ - Rio telling Miles not to let anyone tell him he doesn't belong, which is exactly what Miguel O'Hara tells him when chasing after him. I also wonder if this and the whole "being in the wrong dimension" plot is supposed to be an allegory about immigration and how no place should be wrong for no person, no matter where they're from or how things "are supposed" to be. The fact that Rio herself is an immigrant (well, kinda, since Puerto Rico is part of the United States, but still) and that the whole cast is so diverse makes me think this could very well be the case.
