Often found under the influence of one of her many 'natural remedies', modern medicines and chemical agents have since been largely expunged from the hospital cupboards in favor of more holistic remedies. Much of this treatment methodology has arisen from a loss of faith in big pharmaceutical companies whom Dr Naidu is convinced are only after profit rather than the good of the patients they are meant to be providing for.
This distrust has lead Kirusa Hospital to earn the ire of many wealthy and powerful corporations who have withdrawn their funding and support for further treatment development, leaving Dr Naidu alone to contemplate how she can best proceed forward, armed only with her knowledge of herbal remedies and a strong desire to keep everything together as an internist.
To her, surgeons are no better, thinking that all they wish to do is cut without even even taking into consideration the preferences of their patients. "When in doubt, cut it out" being among the harshest of viewpoints she had ever had the misfortune of hearing.
Naturally, the natural route comes with its own side effects, largely around her own waistline.
