OC cameos - how it works

hey folks! the reward i'm probably most excited about offering is OC cameos, where patrons at the $50 pledge tier have the opportunity to see their original characters featured as major players in smut comics.

however, this is a pretty new idea, and i've done a lot of tinkering with things to make sure i've got a system that's fair to everyone involved. i expect that i'll need to make some adjustments to these rules, but i'll let everybody know if i do.

1. at the start of the month, i'll send out a message to all $50 patrons to ask for references of OCs they'd like to see featured in a comic. only one OC per person will be featured each month, but $50 patrons can submit up to 3 for consideration.

2. i cross-reference $50 patrons' responses to my "new patron survey" in order to create a comic prompt that suits that patron's kinks and interests. $50 patrons can also directly suggest scenes, kinks they'd like included, or characters of mine that they'd like their OC to play with.

3. each month, comic prompts are put to a vote for all $5+ patrons to decide what order comics are completed in.

if your comic prompt is chosen -- congrats!! that month, you'll receive a 3-6pg smut comic featuring one of your OCs! however, you cannot be chosen for a comic cameo two months in a row.

if your comic prompt is not chosen -- your OC will be featured in an illustration that month instead! your comic prompt will be up for a vote once more the following month, unless you decide to change to a different prompt or switch to a lower pledge tier. if 3 months pass and you have not received a comic cameo yet, your prompt is automatically chosen for the following month.

PHEW. thanks for reading that whole wall of text! my reasoning went something like this:

with this setup, $50 patrons will never spend more than a cumulative $200 before receiving a comic cameo, will still get something for their money every month that they aren't featured in a comic, and will still only spend about half as much as they would if they had commissioned those works from me directly. $50 patrons will still get what they want, while $5 patrons will still maintain some voter control over what comics are produced in what order, and i still get to draw pibou (et al) getting railed by a variety of colorful new friends~

i can tell this system will probably take some trial-and-error, and i'm super grateful to y'all for being the first to give it a go. if at any point you feel like you aren't getting your money's worth, please don't hesitate to send me a DM, and we'll figure something out.

a couple other things...

- by "cameo" i don't mean "rando background appearance on one page" -- your OC might not have any spoken lines, but they'll be one of the primary sex-havers in any comic or illustration they're featured in.

- all cameo comics & illustrations (as well as WIPs) will be posted on patreon. if you'd like to post a piece of art featuring your OC publicly, i ask that you send me a DM about it first, please! illustrations will be posted publicly on tumblr & twitter about a month after they're completed unless you request otherwise.

- if you would like me to include a link to you (or your social media handle/s) along with the art your OC is featured in, send that to me along with your reference images! alternatively, if you'd like to remain anonymous, let me know and i'll make a note of it.

- i have some exciting ideas for "special" comics with multiple OC cameos or a different structure (ex: a longer comic ft. public use of pibou by multiple patron OCs! pibou has to choose from three tinder profiles which patron OC to go on a steamy date with! etc) but those ideas will keep simmering until i've gotten into a rhythm with producing patron comics. something to look forward to in the future!
