Added 2024-07-24 14:30:02 +0000 UTCI had really thought there was going to be some last finisher move Yusuke was going to pull off but nah our guy really just let Sensui do that to him ๐ The scene of Yusukeโs "final moments" were absolutely BEAUTIFUL though!! Itโs going to take a whole army to take this guy down but honestly Iโm loving how serious this situation is and how far they are pushing our characters.
Side note: Hiei shocked the heck out of me! Love seeing this caring side of his ๐ญ

UGH I love this arc because of this overarching question: are all humans or all demons bad? And the short answer is no. It's a simple question, but demons are also used as a way to represent any group that is marginalized or "demonized" in our world. I think it's perfectly encapsulated by the fact that Hiei and Kurama were the first to run into battle to avenge Yusuke's death. Hiei is a full on demon and while Kurama is technically both, it shows how much they can grow to care and accept other species. Sensui is an extremist to the core while the others are open to ambiguity, as they've experienced wins and losses with one another.
