From May 19th to the morning of May 26th, the Baxter DLC is 10% off! The older DLCs and the soundtrack have discounts ranging from 20% to 25%.
FEATURES:
- Unlocks 5 Step 3 Moments: Sightseeing, Hang, Drinks, Mountain, & Planning
- Unlocks an entirely new storyline in Step 4
- Allows you to form a deeper relationship with Baxter Ward (platonic or romantic) and spend time more with your friends
- Includes new character sprite art, background locations, and CG images
- Provides even more options for adding custom qualities to your character. Is your protagonist a good dancer or do they have two left feet?
- Unlocks bonus scenes in the other Step 3 Moments where what happened in these events is referenced and reflected on
- Increases the overall playtime by multiple hours
The base game and some of the DLCs were updated with Baxter related alterations and general fixes. If you have the game already, please let Steam/GOG update those files or download the new updates yourself on Itch.
And, well, here we are. It's been nearly three years since the original launch and the final Our Life: Beginnings & Always DLC is finally available. I cannot believe it took this long, and I can believe it even less that so many people have continued to follow us over such a lengthy development. Support for our team and the game has never wavered no matter how much time has gone by. That's something I'll always appreciate regardless of what happens in the future.
Thank you for moving into a sleepy neighborhood in Sunset Bird and making a life there. It wouldn't have been the same without you ๐ฅฐ๏ธ!
Now I hope you'll enjoy this last full-length story of a particularly dramatic man. He requires a lot of patience, which clearly you have, haha.

Literally just finished this DLC today and I have to say that Baxter Ward is an absolute favorite of mine!! My heart could barely handle it! I was staying up till 11pm at night (when I need to wake up at 5am) playing this DLC, I just couldn't leave it ;o; He's such a complicated character who is so so so soft... and I'm glad I got to see more of him. Thank you so much for all of the amazing content, your hard work, and your wonderful game of Our Life: Beginnings and Always. It's my comfort game!

Great job on his DLC, I fell hard for him when I danced with him during the dance rehearsal part when he is planning Cove and the player's wedding before the DLC for Baxter existed. I love these boys and their relatable internal conflicts! I can't wait for more games like this! ๐๐๐

"I'm always soft for you, that's the problem. You could come knocking on my door five years from now and I would open my arms wider and say 'come here, it's been too long, it felt like home with you.'" anyways Baxter's dlc is absolutely amazing and my favorite!! there was so much emotion in it I had to stop playing a bit to cry๐คง๐คง which made the happy ending so much better!!!!

2023-05-25 18:11:50 +0000 UTCCongratulations on the release of Baxter's DLC๐ค ive been a fan of Our Life for two years now and to see content of my favorite man coming into fruition genuinely brought me so much happiness :') i just finished the DLC and would like to say how absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking the writing was. It was a major step forward and improvement, already for a game that was written so beautifully. The story only made me appreciate and love Baxter wholeheartedly on another level, and I could confidently say how there was not a moment where Baxter felt out of character. In fact, I feel so lucky to come across such a game, with a character who somehow weaved his way into my heart despite not being the main focus of the story until now. Sincerely, thank you for the hard work and creating such a beautifully written masterpieceโค๏ธim so proud to say how much I'll love Our Life, even when OL2 releases in the future :)

Firstly on The release of Baxters DLC and Secondly Congratulations on creating a beautiful game, its been a wonderful journey watching the game progress over the years, I remember when i first heard about the game in 2019, i was a big fan of xoxo droplets and i was absolutely delighted to hear that you where the one creating OL1, i thought it was a great concept, having the MC and the love interests grow up together and how your actions would influence how they acted towards you over the years, i knew i had to support it :) I fell in love with all the characters and i loved how truly unique they all where. The game is filled with moments that made me laugh out loud, cry with happiness and moments that made me feel really really good about myself. I do feel a bit melancholy that the OL1 journey is over now, but i love this game you created and knowing me i am going to keep playing it over and over as it is absolutely wonderful, it will forever have a special place in my heart. I am greatly looking forward to continuing to support you and i am very exited to see what OL2 and any of your other future projects hold. I know you will do great, sending my love <3

I remember joining here when you were putting up polls on which xoxo droplet jerk should show up in step 2. did you know I voted for a tiny Eve? :P. I still think it would have been hysterical. but in the end Jeremy has been a hit with everyone. :D. I was chatting with someone on Tumblr yesterday and we mentioned how weird it was that now that this is out that there would be no more betas for Our life B&A. and I was like, I remember when before there *was* a beta. I just deleted my beta and all the beta saves I had and I gotta say it was the weirdest thing for me. I can't imagine how weird, yet relived you feel. :) I'm *so* proud of you. You did that thing. and I've played the finished product twice now and it's so good. :D. I even finally married Cove again. with playing the friend routes of step 2 and 3 with the boys it was so fulfilling to have my girl have so many friends in her life. :) You know I'll be here for the whole shebang again for OL2

Didn't think I would fall head over heel in love with a sad, lonely boy with wavy eyebrow. Not just that but also can relate so much with a stuck up rich boy that I didn't like at first. How you and your team change my mind on Pepรฉ Le Pew. LOL Just want to congratulate you all on all your hard work on this game. For me, I'm so sad to see the end of OL1. I enjoy the ride I been with Cove and the gang. Going to misses seeing up-dates for the game and just getting to spend even more time with Cove. I can't really put into words just how much Cove mean to me. I fangirl over lot of male character from books, show/anime, games but not in a way I fangirl over Cove. I hope him and the other might pop up in other ways. Thank you so much for Cove, For OL1, and for the enjoy of getting to see this story through the end. Can't wait to see what you do for OL2. <3

Secondly, on your point about support not wavering, I want to say something. People are excited about the game and that helps keep support levels high. But I've supported AMAZING games before and stopped. The reason I have continued to support is because of the consistency of your communication and willingness to engage with your community. I don't necessarily want you to LISTEN to everything the community has to say (because I think authors should have their own voice and intent and not just do everything their fans want) but the fact that you seem so willing to HEAR what people have to say, even if it doesn't influence your decisions is great. Third, I'll happily admit that what originally brought me to supporting the Patreon was getting the 18+ moment with Cove. Have you ever considered writing an 18+ moment for Derek and Baxter as Patreon exclusives? I feel it would bring even more people to the Patreon.

I've never gotten so attached to such well written characters from any piece of media ever. GB Patch and Team, you guys made the absolute best VN I've ever seen!
