I appreciate the response. I'm not sure what I'm looking for (I just make sure I watch a enough episodes of Noodle & Bun after I listen the news to laugh again) but i'm looking forward to trying both of these podcasts they sound like my cup of tea. thank you!

Are you looking for more of the same, or something light-hearted? If the former, I'd recommend 5-4. It's 3 lawyers examining various Supreme Court cases, and explaining why the SC sucks. They pull no punches in their criticism. (Also, one of them is Palestinian, and another is Jewish, so they have discussed the ongoing genocide a few times recently.) If the latter, then my go-to is The BechdelCast, where they examine movies through an intersectional feminist lens. The hosts are very talented and entertaining.

Does anyone have any recommendations for podcasts to listen to after Citations Needed fills me up with rage at this world of jackbooted billionaire lies? I'm not joking. Between this and Bad Faith and DN! and Jacobin and In These Times, my morning news read raises my blood pressure to unhealthy levels, but I want to remain informed. Anyone else experience that?

A thought for the New Year- every month or so already, there's a NYT op-ed telling us all that if we vote for a third party in 2024 we are effectively electing Trump. Shouldn't it be the obligation of a party to offer candidates we want to vote for, rather than "have to?" There is something very diminutive about this version of democracy...and this vision of the electorate. Perhaps a news brief?

Although you were worried that this was a "downer" to end the year on, I thought this "list-icle" very well done and a fine finale to a great year.
