cleaning spell is absolutely goated, especially before washing machines. Also Biskys Nen beast Cookie Chan that removes fat, massages you, lets you not sleep and keeps you young and restored really is the best technique

2024-06-13 02:27:19 +0000 UTCDuring the first test, Ehre (the female mage that had flowy hair and fought Fern) mentions that fighting Fern felt like she was fighting her grandfather. Ehre also mentions to Wirbel that she could ask her grandfather to take them to the northern lands because he is a first class mage. In the ending slideshow we see her grandfather is Lernen! The dude who made the escape golems and tried to off Frieren.

2024-06-11 19:46:01 +0000 UTCBocchi the Rock is the other recent anime that hit me out of nowhere and sucked me in every week. It’s SO good, and all the characters are so lovable, especially Bocchi

2024-06-11 11:49:45 +0000 UTCManga on hiatus, no word on season 2 plans yet. I’d argue there’s enough source material for another season now but they’d benefit from letting the manga push ahead some more first.

2024-06-11 09:19:18 +0000 UTCAhhh, but what a journey this show was. It really came out of left field for me when a friend mentioned he'd been watching it, but it quickly became one of my favorite shows in recent memory. Excellent from start to finish, and I can't wait for season two.

2024-06-11 08:29:32 +0000 UTCIt's the final day of translation time, and today I have two people in mind: Richter and Serie. Richter's name means "Judge", as in the person who presides over a courtroom. This is probably in reference to how he tends to try and be the arbiter of his environment wherever he goes. He's also a very judgy person. Serie's name means "Series". This one is a little harder for me to wrap my head around, but the name probably refers to her propagation of magic through her series of students.

2024-06-11 08:27:53 +0000 UTCHmmm same director and 12 episodes... You make a great case

2024-06-11 05:51:40 +0000 UTCThe soundtrack at 14:25 really reminded me a lot of the soundtrack to "To Your Eternity," a show that I'm surprised didn't come up more as a point of comparison with this one, actually. (I can't find the exact song, but it's the same theme as the beginning of this video: https://youtu.be/vmQNxSmZUgw?si=UfRg66WZNhI7KWmN ) Kawasaki Ryo did To Your Eternity, while Frieren's soundtrack is composed by the American Evan Call. The total soundtrack for Frieren is really very diverse, but apparently he wrote everything from the battle themes to those more sentimental moments.

2024-06-11 04:59:19 +0000 UTCThe series was a pleasant surprise I wasn’t expecting. I had more fun than I was anticipating. I can’t wait for season 2.

2024-06-11 04:55:54 +0000 UTCLoved your reactions for this amazing show. I’ve been watching you since the early ATLA days, and it’s wild to think how much time has passed since then, but it also feels like no time at all has passed; I’m sure Frieren can relate to that. Can’t wait to see what you’ll be watching next.

2024-06-11 04:39:18 +0000 UTCNow please watch Bocchi the Rock, it was made by the same Series Director as Frieren and was his first show. It's super short at 12 episodes long and is another slice of life series which you haven't watched in a while. Another masterpiece in my opinion as well. Praying it gets in a future poll at least but it would be a great Goodwin pick like Fruits Basket was in the past.

2024-06-11 04:12:43 +0000 UTCI'm also guessing it's something that helps the group immensely, not just herself. Just having Fern in the party activates the clean clothes passive perk
Alex G
2024-06-11 03:27:06 +0000 UTCI remember ubel saying the magic a mage uses says a lot about them. Fern choosing a laundry spells kind of tells me she plans to travel most of her life, which probably means she means to stick with Frieren and that is how she imagines her future as of now.

2024-06-11 03:16:56 +0000 UTCThe director of this series probably wants to do a season 2 for bocchi too, so it may take time lol.

2024-06-11 03:01:55 +0000 UTCThis show came out of nowhere for me too but man. It didn't quite topple HxH from it's 10ish year reign on top for me, but it definitely nudged it aside so that I haven't been able to settle on which one I liked better. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe season two was pushed indefinitely, HOPEFULLY to give the people working on it plenty of time to do just as much justice to season 2 as they did for season 1. Phenomenal anime and phenomenal characters with such a rich world and storytelling and animation. There was no part of this entire series that was below a 10/10

2024-06-11 02:53:45 +0000 UTCAlex, I completely understand. I would ignore Übel's red flags too

2024-06-11 02:50:57 +0000 UTCBruh I haven’t even watched the reaction to 27 and now you drop this. It’s so fucking over. As I’ve said in previous comments this is the best show you’ve watched on here in a long time and will probably remain the best into the future for a while. I’m very, very sad that it is over but let’s just hope HxH ends ASAP and we get lucky with the polls so we can return to more kino like Frieren.

2024-06-11 02:45:49 +0000 UTCAnd so brings to a current end to one of the best anime adaptations in recent memory. This one felt truly special when I watched it. Never have I seen an anime uplift its already great source material as well as this one did. Only shame is the wait we’ll probably have to endure for the next season. Which will be covering another long arc for most of its duration. And we’ll be seeing plenty of familiar faces during season 2 as well.
