~2:00:00 is real, I hyper fixated on the time freedom end goal via pursuing financial freedom after being disillusioned with work right after college. It's funny how I can recall acknowledging that "freedom to do what?" would be the obvious logical pitfall at the end of that path, but my conclusion was I would have more free time to think that through after anyway in an order of operations sense haha. Turns out time isn't a 1:1 resource, having twice as much time to reflect on your goals and identity doesn't yield twice the breakthroughs, and almost is directly counterproductive since caliber of self reflection reflects accumulated action and experience. Min-maxing into the buddhist ideal of "Happiness is the absence of desire" and spending too long cutting off potential hobbies and interests in order to stay focused is not the strat in retrospect, and I guess is the opposite of "Hunting for your dream" and enjoying the little detours, lol. Similar to you I've found backpacking around Asia to be a component of finding purpose, but I still have a lot of work in figuring out my identity and what I want to do. Great Q&A!

2024-09-27 22:39:12 +0000 UTCAs far as the manga goes, I liked the format you used for the Avatar comics. I think that would work well for the manga. On a different note, I actually thought that the Todo HxH reference worked very well just because it kind of had the extra twist of Todo being unable to do his attack, whereas Netero was still able to do Zero Hand. Because Netero was able to do Zero Hand without having both hands, I expected that Todo would also be able to do his attack without being able to clap. But he wasn't able to do his attack, so it was a fakeout for viewers who had seen HxH and it was a fakeout for Mahito in the show so it kind of worked on multiple levels.

2024-09-23 08:10:34 +0000 UTCget the actual volumes for the manga (they do sell this digital too i believe) - there are differences to online versions and printed versions (ie; sometimes the weekly release stuff can be rougher than the actual volume for sale versions) so just be aware, especially for HxH, the weekly releases were a bit rough art and panel wise.

To give my own two cents on whether or not to watch the HxH movies, I think they're at least a good demonstration of Togashi's unique writing and talents, since even with the same cast I could immediately feel the lack of logic puzzles and strategy that define a lot of HxH's canon conflicts. That is to say I don't think they're very good!

Title: Thought Weaver, Psychic Resonance Category: manipulation: 100%, emission 80%, enhancement 60% Effects: 1. The user imbues their aura into their voice which is emitted in a similar way to how Illumi imbues his manipulative aura into his needles or how Uvogin and Gon can imbue their aura into screams. This vocal aura can alter, enhance, or implant thoughts and ideas into the minds of those who hear it to influence their skills, intelligence, decision-making, beliefs, and perceptions of reality. For example you could use this ability to implant the idea of existentialism, all the knowledge of a history book you've read, or the skill of how to play an instrument. 2. Upon having the ideas implanted, targets of this ability can use it for themselves to a lesser effect to implant ideas into others, including the original user. This effect functions parasitically via feeding off the target's aura once they start using the ability so that the original user's nen supply is not drawn from against their will. 3. The ability's power is far greater on individuals who are already seeking out aide/greater education, especially those with low intelligence, low self-esteem, or purposelessness. 4. For a limited time, the user can enhance the mental faculties of others, improving their learning rate, concentration, and memory. This enhancement is temporary and drains a large amount of aura, making it unsustainable for long periods. The degree of enhancement depends on the condition of the target's mind (e.g., well-rested, stressed, or fatigued). Activation Conditions: 1. The user must speak their words clearly and audibly. 2024-09-23 04:58:11 +0000 UTCrandom thing i wanted to mention, i hear what you say about JJK and Chainsaw Man, which i totally understand. and it honestly just makes me more excited for what you will see in the future for those shows. If you asked me a year ago about if i thought you would like the season 3 content (i’m a manga reader) i’d probably just shrug. but as i start to look at it differently, i realized there are so many juicy bits for you to enjoy, and it will probably be your favorite season, but i didn’t appreciate it much because the action was better last season. JJK is never shy about it’s influences (it also borrows a lot from series like Bleach), but it is with that foundation that it can build the big powerful center, one that truly shows itself in the upcoming content. As for CSM, while the last season is was short and happened a while ago, the next stuff is on another plane, and is what truly solidified it as a legendary series. I saw a poll where it asked everyone what there favorite arc was, and basically 95% picked one of the arcs from the next season. I’m not sure how much you think about it or the characters nowadays, but i can easily see you becoming SUPER invested in denji and the other characters and really just satiating your media appetite.

I know that you mean something more directly substantial, but I cannot state enough how essential your videos have been to the direction of my life. It wasn't exclusively you. There were a few converging things in my life that opened up my eyes in a different way when I needed it the most, but you WERE a big part of that. A lot of your reactions that helped me were from shows that I'd watched years before, and I'd even watched other reactions them too, but you were able to bring certain aspects to the forefront that I'd been avoiding for most of my life and helped tie them into some other things I was thinking a lot deeper than usually to. I have a ways to go to where I want to be still, but your videos absolutely helped me push myself into the direction I wanted to go

A lot of the episodes didn't require much interpretation when they adapted it because the hunter manga is DENSE...so even if you read it page by page, which another creator Marko - has recently embarked on the journey of doing, you'd have a good time and it would be sufficient for content
