I think Horikoshi pulled off something amazing with the LoV. I actually care very deeply about them, even though I never wanted them to win. Normally, the bad guys would be the big mastermind you hate, and his goons who are there primarily so we can have cool fights. Maybe one wild card you love to watch because they are so charismatic/entertaining. Potentially one antihero, who'll turn around and ally with the heroes in the end. But these guys... they are all fleshed out characters, I care about their relationships with each other, I understand where they are coming from... so wether the heroes win or lose, it'll be tragic. There's only one "good" outcome, but even that will hurt. It makes you think, and I really appreciate that.

Despite the arguments either way, Hawks killing Twice ended up leading to Toga’s transformation into a “full fledged villain” as the episode calls it. Instead of a man like Twice focussed on protecting his friends, they now have a girl focussed on revenge & killing all heroes. It’s reflected in how “Sad Man’s Parade” is now called “Sad Man’s Death Parade”. Would Twice have been as dangerous & destructive as the current Toga is? Also, as someone else mentioned the manga & sub have Hawks shouting “Kill him right now!” in a panic at seeing a man he’s already killed & of course Toga heard him say that. Hawks is in danger 😅

Small difference in the english version but yes hawks would kill twice again, and toga too. Also yes some one did get shot, but luckily they were right next to the hospital
