Blurred Sofia.

This initial sequence made with the Nikon D810 was shot in aperture mode and the camera was choosing very long exposure times, so most pictures are blurred, but the beauty of Sofia still transpire.
This is the reason why I always shoot manual and I tend to prepare the camera settings the night before (or even days before), so while shooting it is just a matter of doing small adjustments.
But this time I just started shooting on the specific day and it took a long time to realise my error.

Auto settings are useful only when you leave all the responsibility to them and they are just as good as your set up was the ideal for the situation.

Blurred Sofia. Blurred Sofia. Blurred Sofia. Blurred Sofia. Blurred Sofia.

The good thing about landscapes is that they are free πŸ˜… With models you also have to optimise time, and that hurry is multiplying the chances to make errors. The extreme discipline in preparing all the gear days in advance is coming from way back when I was doing weddings... in most cases I had a specific camera dedicated to the church that I didn't use for anything else until the ceremony was over.

Yes, I had to ditch many pictures, but these were steady enough. Also I like this dreamy feeling, but it is too unpredictable at this level, if I remember correctly, times were around the 1/8 of a second.

Ah, yes. When you think you set the camera correctly, only to later realize that you inadvertently turned the wrong dial and now everything is bad! Happens to me all the time. At least you have the excuse of being distracted by a gorgeous model. I shoot landscapes...

My blurred pics are much worse! It seems to me that blurring gives to Sophia a dreamy appearance.
