Just to give you a bit more context: AOMG was the first label founded by Jay Park in 2013. It's home to artists like Simon Dominic, Gray, Loco, Hoody, sik-k and Yugyeom (from got7 who joined the label much later on)+ other few. Jay park co-founded it with his longtime friend and collaborator, Cha Cha Malone, an American producer and dancer from Seattle. Cha Cha is known for his signature producer tag, "I need a Cha Cha beat, boy," and has been instrumental in crafting the label's sound. In 2017, Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone established H1GHR MUSIC with the aim of bridging the gap between Korean and international artists, especially those from Seattle. The label's roster has included talents like pH-1, Sik-K, Woodie Gochild, HAON, TRADE L, BIG Naughty, and JAY B ( from got7 who joined the label). They often collaborate, and in 2020, they released two compilation albums: Red Tape and Blue Tape, showcasing their collective artistry. Red Tape focuses on hard-hitting, aggressive hip-hop and cypher-style tracks, while Blue Tape leans more into chill, melodic, and R&B vibes. if i can request album reaction then i will request them in the future. Regarding the cypher you watched , while it's a structured track, many of these artists are known for their freestyle skills. It's impressive how effortlessly they can deliver such performances. trust me its like nothing to them, second nature. Also, fun fact: TRADE L ( the guy in beanie at min 14:09) was just 17 years old when that cypher was released, he is 04 liner! he is the maknae but they way be spittig these bars.. its crazy haha. And pH-1 is one of my personal favorites amongs them. As for Jay Park's current role, he stepped down as CEO of both AOMG and H1GHR MUSIC in December 2021 but continues to be involved as an advisor. The artists still regard him as a mentor and friend, and his influence remains strong within both labels. as you see he lets them get the spotlight first, he always been a supportive mentor for them so they can showcase their talent Looking forward to more of your reactions. 💙
