2023-08-22 07:33:00 +0000 UTCI watched the show after the lineup was revealed on purpose to save myself the anxiety. I watched ep 1 and 2 when they came out and already decided my faves (Yujin, Hao, Gunwook, and Hanbin) and waited until the final lineup was announced to watch the entire show. Then when I saw all my faves make it in I had so much fun watching every ep, it was actually healing for me.

2023-07-29 05:55:21 +0000 UTCAlso i want to say, since this is a fan-vote system, they don't vote for someone just because they're good at singing or dancing or rapping. Because you know in this idol industry, talent alone can't make them go big, it's also about the looks, the personality and the charisma. Someone can be extremely outstanding at professional dancing, but they don't seem that charismatic when they perform a Kpop song, these are completely different things (you will be able to see it as you watch the next rounds). I do feel bad for some talented trainees who got eliminated (mine is Jongwoo, Keita, Hui, Kamden i really wanted them to debut). But it's a competition where only 9 members can debut so ofc we would feel bad for whoever didn't make it T.T I just hope they will be recognized in the future

2023-07-28 02:13:28 +0000 UTCSometimes they edit the show in a very dramatic way to add some spice, and sometimes the judges can be really harsh on the trainees (mostly for the show), so i hope u guys don’t take it too seriously. like it’s best to just sit back and enjoy the drama (not every drama are made up tho, there is actually tension between some trainees, and there might be some bad behaviors cause not everyone can keep their cool in a competition, so MNET builds up on that to make it more interesting). Most of them are nice and close with each other, very friendly competition.

2023-07-27 15:22:47 +0000 UTCThere were so many talents that deserved to debut but some of my personal favs were Keita, all of Ateez The Real team lol, Kum Junhyun, Lee Yedam, Wang Zihao, Jongwoo, Seungeon, Kim Minseong, Na Kamden, etc. I just hope everyone of those talented people and more will be recognized for their talents soon :)

2023-07-27 03:27:53 +0000 UTCGuys just wanna say that M-net does evil editing of the contestants literally on every m-net shows they does evil editing making some trainees look like they have evil personality and i think this is a thing you guys should know. they also do editing like taking reactions from other performances to another performance, as you can In this ep the contestant in blue silk who got zero stars, you can literally see him behind the judge when that judge was giving a disappointed look on his vocals.

2023-07-27 02:48:20 +0000 UTCOh and as I’ve learned recently, this debut group is temporary with a predetermined contract of 2.5 years I believe instead of the average 7 year contract. That’s because they’re all from different companies and so it would be more difficult if they initially extended the contract or did so after the contract ends. This survival show compared to survival shows like I-land and others like that, is more for like promoting the trainees the companies send to participate in this survival show and gaining some popularity and exposure to the public, then probably going on to debut them in groups from their respective companies. And the difference between I-Land and Boys Planet/other big scale survival shows is that I-Land was on the smaller scale but for trainees of the same company. The group formed from those types of survival shows have longer contracts and inspire hope that they will last long within the kpop scene.

2023-07-27 02:38:34 +0000 UTCAbout Pentagon, they’re still a group and active but they’ve lost a lot of popularity compared to their Shine era. But I’m uncertain about their future because Cube (their company) is known for being terrible at promoting their groups and keeping them active, basically letting such talents go to waste. If anything, I hope for Pentagon to pull a GOT7 and leave the company as a group but be able to keep their group name and past songs. However, that may expose them to even fewer chances than the already few they have at Cube to make comebacks. Anyhow, my ultimate wish though is for them to stay together. I really like them and actually through Boys Planet, Hui became one of my biases, and I’ve added him to the list of god-tier vocalists.

As for Hui (Lee Hoetaek), he will explain more of his and Pentagons situation in episode 2, and as for his performance an how he does later in the show, I will leave that for you guys to watch and enjoy for yourself hehe. But you obviously know already that he didn't end up in the final debut lineup, and has after boys planet returned to his group Pentagon. Even tho the group haven't released a lot of music the past few years, they are still an active kpop group as of today. And yes, knowing which trainees made it before watching the show (as you are doing now) gives you a totally different perspective of how you see it. You will most likely focus more on the members who debut in Zerobaseone, and also learn more about them that way, which is great. But as well as us who watched the show as the episodes got released, and who voted for our favorites throughout the whole show, you will get extremely attached to the trainees. Especially as the episodes go on, and the numbers of trainees get less and less. So get ready for the emotions! The attachment I still feel to a lot of the trainees that didn't make it to the end, is still strong, but its also exiting to watch them grow as trainees, and hopefully see them debut as well in the future. After seeing some of your reactions to the first episode alone, I am getting slightly worried for the attachment you may get hahah, but stay strong, we will root for them and get through it together <3 Also keep in mind that the first few episodes may be a bit messy, and there is alot of new faces to take in, but its alot of fun, and honestly its just to lean back and enjoy the ride (and be prepared for possible tears..). Also wanted to warn you of mnet's well knows evil editing. Mnet who produced boys planet, are as entertainment producers obviously after creating entertainment, and also comes with alot of drama. They are known for taking advantage of trainees, and edit them in a way that makes them look bad from the views perspective. In most cases, this is purely the evil editing from mnets side, and not necessarily the trainees themselves. This is not just music vice, but also in the relationships between the people in the show. So please keep that in mind while watching (basically just try to take everything with a pinch of salt). I am extremely excited to watch you guys throughout your boys planet journey, and keep the questions coming if there is anything you are wondering about! Thanks alot for the reaction!
