A special Thank You to Scott Brown, ChefsSlaad, TelsiaW, Kevin Baker, Paul Alfred Brown, A Simple Lamp, Dan Gragert, Eric Laney, Sean R Albers, Frenchy, Kateryna Holub, Jon Williams, yl01, DMN_Good, Kaitlin, Elissa Fleming, Gregory Della-Croce, Isapo ., Bobby Montgomery, Pierson Prutzman, Brad Hall, Cody Hayes, buttercow3525, Shaun Sullivan, Edward McGill, Ghostle, William Field, Conor Hanover. You are the true voices of the site, and I am listening. This coming year will feature scenario sets with rare themes and unique concepts. I am on the hunt for some new concepts, if you have any, let me know in the comments below or on Discord.
For the Underwater set, I want to do a some standard backgrounds (sea floor, kelp forest, coral reef, open waters), but I instantly imagine interesting sites upon them, a coral castle, caverns filled with sea weed and fish, a kelp forest with ruins scattered throughout. What else should I add in? I will be sure to include a number of fish, shark, dolphin, etc., assets along with sea weed, kelp, coral pieces.
Once more, Thank you to all my awesome Patrons! I'm stoked to get started on the this set, especially because it is so different. Long Live D&D (and all RPGs)!

Nice! That gives me a sense of architecture to go with. I will definitely have a sea elf stronghold! And I love making open air temples, so I will do something like that underwater. Cant pass up the idea of submarine too. Totally inspiring. Thanks!

2023-01-07 02:27:00 +0000 UTCThe world in which I run my campaigns has an as-yet-undiscovered kingdom of sea elves. They have a similar level of technology to the surface dwellers, but naturally they don't need protection from the water, so their "submarines" are all open. Castles, vehicles, temples, cemeteries, underwater volcanoes...

2023-01-05 12:41:28 +0000 UTCAnother interesting thing to think about is what traps would be in an underwater dungeon? Lots of traps sensors like a pressure plate or dangers like a rolling boulder wouldn't work underwater. That being said, new sensors would be available: - detecting water movements caused by a nearby creature. - some crystal/glass are nearly invisible underwater since they distort light in the exact same way, those could be the new tripwires. And ofc, what about the traps? - sudden currents relocating creatures, either into an enemy or down a hallway with spikes. - those crystal/glass would make great hidden blades. - if you have thermal vents or magma in the map, a sudden hot current might be quite dangerous. I can think of many more but I'm looking forward to what you'll come up with.

2023-01-05 04:29:36 +0000 UTCThat's a great idea! I love the steampunk look (and I have access to a lot of art assets for it). I will totally add in a gnomish tinkerer set next go round. Plus, the outdoor country theme is for a friend that plays a gnome, I'll be able to go forest gnome style. Thank you for the inspiration. Cheers!

2023-01-05 04:03:02 +0000 UTCHi Mike, not entirely sure how rare you are looking for but one thing I always struggle to find is gnomish sets. Houses and workshops for gnomish tinkerers (thinking steampunk / fantasy), forest gnomes, rock gnomes or deep gnomes seem to be very difficult to track down. Normally I just reuse some elven maps but having something unique to make them stand out would really be appreciated. It can be hard explaining to an 8ft tall character that they cant fit everywhere when the maps all say they can haha. Thanks for all of the awesome maps. Keep up the great work!
