Hi all!
Hope you are all having as good of a Monday, as possible lol!
Today I've decided to show you how to paint green OSL on small surfaces.
Let's get into it!
1. Start with adding the first glaze of Caliban Green (a glaze is paint mixed in 1:3 ratio with water). You only want to add it around the surface where the light source is. In this case, we are treating the two little squares on the metal part as light sources.

2. Start adding a glaze of Caliban Green mixed 1:1 with Yriel Yellow. Now this mix we will add on more surfaces. For example, we want to show some light hitting the area under the eyebrow. If you are struggling to understand where to put the light, you can always tilt the bit your working on to see the trajectory of the light and how it might travel. This was exactly what I have done here to understand, where exactly should I place the OSL.

3. The final glaze highlight will be mix of Caliban Green 1:3 with Yriel Yellow. This time, we want to add some of this on the tips of the hair, under the eyebrow, on the lower parts of the bit and also in the lower part of the eye. Whenever you are adding these highlights, drag the paint towards the light source. The OSL should be the brightest at the source of light and then on the areas closest to it. If you drag the paint in the direction from which the light is coming - you will end up with the highlights being brighter nearer the source of light.

4. The final little thing you should do is to highlight the light source itself using a 1:1 mix of White and Yriel Yellow.

And that is it!
It is a very cool technique that when explained correctly, it becomes very simple and enjoyable to do. I really hope this can help you enjoy OSL more!
Please share the results with me when you try it out! You can tag me in the posts or use the #MamikonsWizards hashtag on social media. We also have our awesome Necromancer Discord Community where you can share your WIP pics, ask for feedback and more.
Thank you so much for supporting me and my art. It means sooo much to me!
