Upcoming anniversary

ComicPop turns 7 (kinda) on March 26th. Wanted to generate some ideas for how to celebrate properly and maybe turn it into a milestone. We've been toying with the idea for years of resurrecting old shows, so if there's an old show that we don't really make anymore that could use a comeback, we'd love to hear YOUR thoughts on what show you'd want to see, and what subject that relaunched episode should tackle.

The other thought I was having was doing a big livestream with the team. I know, we were planning a 100k extravaganza, but I'm wondering if it might be more exciting to do something closer to a 100k livestream drive to GET us to 100k. I've seen it done a few places, but I'm on the fence about it. At this rate, we will get to 100k, but probably in the middle of next year.

So we're just in the idea phase right now, but I'd love to get your opinions about what we should do to celebrate 7 years on YouTube, and propel the channel forward for the next phase. (rest assured, we have a ton of ideas and stuff in the works though).

Thanks everybody!

I think a live stream is a great idea. I still don’t know what to recommend you do with it. Maybe just watch it but the dc abridged universe did some hilarious dubs of the DCAU new 52 movies. There Joker and Batman are easily better than most professional and I’m not joking. It’s Super funny stuff.

As a charity worker I can say for certain nows the time! Live events have taken a massive hit during covid. You can’t risk any of your patients getting sick and since patients will often be high risk. It’s hard. Most charity also promote creators to people who would love there stuff but never see it. Namely parents.

What about a charity stream to get closer to 100k for the seven year?Obviously industry related - maybe get a few artists/writers/podcasters who’ve collabed with you to highlight their non profit organizations for a moment.

What about an anniversary livestream where you guys did a lot of the old shows live? So a Draws episode where people can draw along and tweet their drawings to you, a Harbor Patrol one shot, a live Savage Screen which can incorporate SuperChats, a Hack and Splash Page live, etc.

I really loved those short Indie book summaries Tiffany used to do. Was really fun especially someone who loves indie books.

A ComicPOP Draws would be cool. A livestream would also be cool. The perfect opportunity to finally show Ben and Ethan the Human Torch rap. Or Crisis on Two Earths.

Not been around long, but I would throw out this idea for the anniversary: 7 in 7. 7 Rapid fire reviews, one minute each, of 7 whatever. It could be one DC comics, one Marvel, one Indi, one DC Movie, one Marvel Movie, one Indi comic book movie, and one crossover.....or whatever 7 gets your team going. It could be one Sal review, one Tiff, one Ben, one Ethan, one Sal/Tiff, one Ben/Ethan, and one with all 4. Might fit the rapid style you are doing with the shorts you have been putting out, you do one each day of the anniversary week to direct traffic to the site. Obviously, use any, all, or none of this idea.

An anniversary livestream sounds great. As for resurrecting old shows, I know ComicPOP! Draws didn’t do very well but I really liked it so I’d love to see it come back for another episode.
