This week's update!

Hello everybody!

So here's the deal-- we released the Zapp Comics GBU episode and we're pretty pleased with how it came out. I would have liked to have gotten a shot of the crowd, or an exterior shot of the comic shop, or maybe more interior shots from within, and I really wish I had thought about that more and implemented it, and I have nobody to blame but myself. That said, the episode is fun and the response is positive, so it's technically a win. But in terms of creativity, we had an opportunity and I really feel like I blew it. Thankfully, Zapp loved having us and they'd like us to return. And we'd like to, as well. And I think it could be a fun trend to try and maintain. Heck, our pals at the Secret Stash might just have us back, and we can film a special thing there, too!

Come see us at the Keystone Comic Con September 15th from 3-4 pm in Philly in a couple of weeks. It would be awesome to see you. Tell your friends. Ad over.

We also hit 70,000 subs the other day! This was crazy and we got there a little sooner than expected thanks to being on two Comicstorian videos in a row! We've got more coming out, too, so I'm looking forward to seeing how they react to that. Tiff is on those next ones, and I am really happy with how they felt when we filmed them. Let's hope it's a nice sign that we're finally catching on.

Tomorrow the Off the Rack from this past Sunday will go live, of course. Wednesday we're shooting Elseworlds, and I'm also going to be recording a guest appearance on a Star Wars podcast called Skyhoppers. Should be fun! We're also in talks with Jason and Ashley over at Jawiin to have at least two separate episodes recorded, plus a guest spot on their show. And I'm in talks with a really kickass person from a fellow YouTube production group that would be crazy to achieve, so let's just not jinx that. The plan, on my end anyway, is to start putting ourselves out there more. Collaborate with some groups that might not have direct comic book experience, but have similar audiences and interests, so not only do we grow, but we also expose you guys to some cool people and maybe cross over some fandoms. And if nothing else, I get to work with awesome people I admire from afar.

I really felt like there was a larger draw for this week's Back Issues theme, but we'll see how it goes. So far the action on social media is mild, but we're doing MOON KNIGHT on Back Issues! Finally! This will be the Cloak and Dagger test to see if Moony's got any traction for us. Either way, it's a fun episode with a great combo on the couch. Ethan returns...

Plus Letters Page, which I neglected to release last week. Sorry about that! We had so many videos this weekend between us and Benny that I really didn't want to detract from any of them, so we held off. But LP will return this Friday! Promise!

On the studio front, I've been working like a lunatic to try and make it as feng shui as possible, but it's resulted in a big damn mess. Comics everywhere, a library corner I don't know if anybody's going to use... No new sets. It's just a mess. It shouldn't affect anything you see normally, but know I'm tripping over stuff every single day and freaking out about where stuff's gonna go.

Hey! Baltimore offered us a panel, but Tiff can't make it. If I did a panel with someone else in attendance in Baltimore, who would you want to see me team up with and what would it be about? Would LOVE to hear your thoughts! http://baltimorecomiccon.com

That should be enough for now, don't you?

Love,

Sal

Thanks for the update Sal, dont be too hard on yourself though, if the opportunity presents itself, take a step back, reorganize your plan, and then jump back in. Also, even if people dont use the library you created, I always think it's better to plan for every scenario. Anyway, sorry for the long comment, but thank you for all your hard work, I love your guys' channel.
