Update 1/2021 - New Community Spotlights (Yehwan Song, Sander Sturing), New Blogposts, Worldwide Video-streaming
Added 2022-01-26 11:28:57 +0000 UTCDear friends, ✌️
It's funny, but there are those times when creativity just sparkles. I'm in such a phase right now, which may also have something to do with the fact that my master's degree is coming to an end and I'm now coming to answers in the topics I've been working on. The last 10 days I've published a whole 4 new blogposts, dealing among other things with topics from my studies, i.e. the philosophy of Creative Coding. Okay, but one by one, first things first. ️

Community Spotlight: Yehwan Song
Tomorrow, Thursday January 27, 2021 at 9am CET I will stream via Youtube a conversation with Yehwan Song. Yehwan has been a great inspiration to me for a long time. She's from Seoul and has made a big name for herself in the Creative Coding scene over the past few years for building incredible web experiences using HTML, CSS and Javascript. I'm totally looking forward to the interview.
You can watch the livestream on my youtube channel.
I will also create an edit later and post it as a video.

Studio Dumbar (part of Debt) is an internationally successful design studio from Rotterdam that continues to surprise with progressive projects in the intersection of moving image and visual identities. An important factor in the studio's innovative power is Sander Sturing, who as creative coder has helped shape many of the projects. In this interview, he talks about why he works with Processing and how creative coding fits into the company's workflow.

Life with Technology - A philosophical interim report
As you might have noticed, in my studies I've been intensively thinking about the role Creative Coding can play in design education and for a more reflective use of technologies. In the last few days, I've published three blogposts reflecting on these thoughts.
Blogpost 1: We need a sustainable perspective on life with technology
Blogpost 2: Reflections on my master-studies
Blogpost 3: Coding Systems – synopsis of my Master Thesis

The issue with video performance
I've had a few video load time issues reported over the last few months in countries like the US and Australia. I'm currently looking into hosting all the videos of the courses on Vimeo, which will hopefully fix the problem.

So far for now. I wish you a good time! See you shortly!
Warm greetings, ☀️
