ColorPicker V2 is Coming Soon! + Other News

Hi everyone! My ColorPicker mod for Sims 4 is coming along very nicely. While the original would only let you shuffle swatches objects, the new version has a lot going on for it. I wanted to share a few things with you about how it works since you are supporting my projects.

More Intelligent Matching

As you can see in the picture above, I chose green. When the picker does its scanning it will now prefer neutral colors in cases where it cannot find your color. 

Adjust Tints

ColorPicker V2 will also come with the ability to modify object tints and save the chosen values. These also transfer over the gallery.

Using the light menu to do this means we can also give you base colors to work with that will mix with your chosen RGB. You can choose how hard they mix and how sensitive the slider will be.

Like with the Swatch Picker mode, Tint can also be used on a whole room. The Adjust all RGB button is nice if you just want a slightly darker tint on everything.

Make New Swatches and Objects

The darker blue rug does not exist. It's a good candidate for adjusting tint to make entirely new colors. Objects that are grey and white are the best candidates.

One of the first things that blew my mind, was using this on windows in the game. They are very plan, but you can see I gave them a light brown tint. Pick any color you want and adjust as needed.

Make Neutral Color

In the picture above, I have made Clara Bjergsen's girly bedroom into more neutral colors using the new 'Make Neutral Color' button. This will automatically try to find swatches that lack primary colors, for use with the tinting feature. It's honestly amazing how things match up so nicely with the click of a single button!

UPCOMING: Dine Out Reloaded Plans

I am planning to revisit Dine Out reloaded soon and release a third version. My hope is to debug why player orders are dropped and rewrite several of the systems with that in mind, making everything about the pack more reliable. I know many of you signed up for that, so I will look forward to sharing more news on my progress!
