That's my theory at least as to why she didn't act this way until she looked through the photos at the beginning of the episode.

I have hated his guts since he abused flutters the ONLY thing keeping him alive is the fact it would make fluttershy cry and you do NOT make flutters cry. he is like Chrysalis their is no reforming that little POS. as for rarity yeah I can understand how she feels but still you gotta know what your sister is into when planning and before anyone dares ask "but how would she know they haven't done anything in so long" 1 word ASK. seriously thats all rarity had to do and she could of planned an amazing day for them , as for zipper her cutie mark was never wrong she got it for her love of ripley she like rarity just had to take time and understand what he wanted. like trouble shoes who knew he was suppose to be part of the rodeo but was too clumsy to perform till he realized he was to be a rodeo clown.
