So, we reached the first milestone. Crazy. And now that we do I realize some things that I should talk about.
For a start, I am not quitting my side job, as the goal originally says. This is for the simple reason that I have giant buffer and I don’t need the extra time. I do, however, appreciate the extra cash I have, as it allows me to make the rather costly commissions I do with more ease.
So, what is the (already reached) goal replaced with? Well, from now on I am commissioning art a week after the former piece is done (so every 5 to 6 weeks average). Not a huge difference, but still the best I can come up with. This also means a new pool should go up soonish as Nia is scheduled to finish this week. That’s what the gap is for, for the votes, if that wasn’t clear.
Furthermore, I have removed the 500$ goal. Previously it described how I would get a proofreader once there. Since I have outsourced proofreading to a triumvirate of my readers (love ya guys) and that has shown to be largely successful I don’t think that is an issue really. Proofreader cast may grow in the future, no promises.
I have replaced it with a placeholder 750$ goal, which is a placeholder just because I don’t want to jump directly to 1500. Not a logical thing, just felt empty otherwise.
TLDR: Old goals were outdated, more art, no real changes for you guys.
