The Greatest Showman -Full Movie Reaction

Comments

I love this reaction 🫶 you love of music shines. Thank you

Juan Otero

Really enjoyed your reaction to this, as usual. I also love Zendaya and Zac Efron in this. Speaking of, why are your HSM movie reactions not avaible any longer? Would have loved to watch those, too.

sO_whAt?!

it should be back up now :)

Michael Beveraggi

awww just wanted to watch and the video is gone :'(((((

Maleen

I LOVE this movie so much!! I get goosebumps every time. I’m surprised you weren’t more familiar with High Jackman tho considering how big his is, I just adore him❤️ also I’m guessing you haven’t seen the movie adaptation of Les Miserables since Hugh has a pretty big role in that one. Its definitely worth watching so I hope someone will suggest it! 🙏🏼

Bangtan is life

I was looking for this, I’m so glad someone pointed these things out otherwise I had to do it lol 😂

Bangtan is life

If you think Hugh Jackman's singing in this movie is good, you NEED to watch Les Miserablés (sorry if I spelled that wrong). Hugh in that movie is off the charts! So many good voices (except for one) in that movie.

Carrie Schwent

Yes, Zendaya does sing!

Emma Flake

I cry every time I watch this!

Yenelly Tejada

you need to watch zendaya's music videos from her disney days she has a great voice

Yenelly Tejada

The original Rocky Horror is the best for me. Chicago is really great. One of the best musicals I’ve ever seen.

Kerryn Simmons

omggg you need to watch hairspray!!!!!

Tiana Harris

Zach Efron was in hairspray too. The other woman was Rebecca Ferguson actress that was in a couple Mission Impossible movies. She was not the one singing the song on the soundtrack

Richard

Would Love to see a reaction to La La Land

Rene Lentsch

zendaya is actually singing

Alanna Smith

PLS WATCH THE LIVE SESSION ON 20TH CENTURY FOX

Victoria Chinaka

The original and the remake

Kerryn Simmons

this was such an incredible film, is my favorite musical out of all the ones I have seen, by the way, the voice of Jenny Lind the woman that sings "Never Enough" that voice is from singer Loren Allred, the actress Rebecca Ferguson was lip syncing to her vocals, Loren is amazing, you should listen to her live performance of Never Enough with David Foster she was remarkable.

Aiden

definitely need to check out hairspray, its amazing!!

Lexi Strachan

Wow. that reaction of yours was so genuine and it was really cool that you went without prior knowledge. Some trivia and clarifications that I find interesting for you to know. First of all, it's really Zendaya singing as you found in the research, in fact she sings very well and has a studio album, but at times she opted for an acting career because she likes to have a more private life and she thought that as singer would be more difficult (by the way I'm suspicious to say because I'm her number 1 fan). Anyway she has a lot of other musical works and it would be interesting if you check it out. And she also made a point of learning the trapeze instead of just having a double for the duet scene. 2 This is the first musical movie that Zack actually sings, as amazing as it sounds in highs school musicals he just voices another guy who actually sings Troy's parts. So yes, this film was quite an evolution for him in the singing area. 3. Speaking of dubbing, the actress who plays the opera singer is Rebecca Furgueson and actually her solo song is performed by a professional singer, she just dubs her in the movie.

Beatriz Rodrigues

I also suggest Zendaya - Neverland if you want to see more of her singing :) love that song.

Myrelène Knaepkens

Another great must see musical (also starring zac efron) is Hairspray! Loved this movie

florence

I second Come From Away! It’s one of my favourite musicals

Mikaela Cookson

Loved this video so much!! Plus this movie is fantastic!!

jessica flores

I second Hairspray and would also LOVE to see your reaction to the Les Misérables film!

Jalesa Sims

“the noblest art is of making others happy” YOU make us happy Beveraggi!! you have absolutely enlightened my whole week with this reaction (even though i’m late lol)

Emma Mellin

and pls react to hairspray another musical with zac efron

KRP

yes that's really Zendaya!

KRP

yes that's really zendaya singing! the girl who plays jenny lind actually isn't singing! she had a voice over singer. zendaya also did all of her own stunt work!

Caitlin Meeks

There is a behind the scenes of Rewrite the stars on YouTube!!!

Alicia

Also let me toss out Rogers and Hammerstein Cinderella with Whitney Houston....Need I say more? There is zero change you won't like that one.

Ashley Summerfield

I cannot stress enough how much you need to add Moulin Rouge to your musical list. Ewan McGregor that plays young Obi Wan Kenobi in the star wars prequels will blow your mind with his singing voice. Nicole Kidman. Award winning musical. Its perfection. Rent is iconic and has so much heart. Little shop of horrors. Hugh Jackman did a stage recording of Oklahoma that is absolutely phenomenal. Its very operatic so the vocals are impressive. Les Miserables is star studded and also has hugh jackman. West Side Story. Phantom of the Opera. I could go on for quite a while but those are the absolute musts to start with. Can't thank you enough for giving us musical content.

Ashley Summerfield

Oh yeah can you imagine how much he will love the Oscar winners like Chicago?

Ashley Summerfield

You should definitely react to Les Misarables

Conner Webb

I jumped out of my chair when you said you were doing A Star Is Born. I just did the video request tier and I was going to choose La Vie En Rose from that movie. Im so glad you told me. You are not prepared. It's more than you could imagine. Different than the musicals you have watched so far.

Ashley Summerfield

Idk if somebody has said this already but the people who wrote the music for this movie also wrote the music for Dear Evan Hansen and La La Land. They are fantastic :)

thisismaria27

I’m so glad you got to check this out! Such an amazing movie! I feel like with the content that you have covered how are you and I could be best friends!

Paige

Pls react to Liam Payne Lp show act 4

Andre

I love this movie. Anne Marie and James Arthur did a version of “rewrite the stars” 🙂

Jess S

Hugh Jackman opened the Brits awards with This Is The Greatest Show. It’s amazing

Paige

Yeah Zendaya is a Disney star too! Of course sings XD. She has music out too if you want to go listen to more!

Destiny Samuel

One of my favorite movie musicals! he should react to it

Destiny Samuel

Lmao not me laughing at the bad Shutter Island jokes. But seriously love this one! You still reaaally need to check out Hairspray for more Zac, I know you would LOVE it!!! Also if you want to see more Hugh Jackman singing you should watch Les Mis its also great!!

Mal

Loved this reaction! If you want to see more Zac Efron, you should check out Down To Earth. It is a docuseries where he and a friend travel the world and learn about the way of life for people around the world. It is really interesting and funny, and it also shows you the real Zac Efron. He is pretty cool

Prem Parekh

These movie reaction videos are my FAVORITE kind that you do!

Nicolett

ahhh this is my first time watching a film reaction with you and i loved it!! i had to because the greatest showman is one of my favourite musicals of all time! recently i just finished watching dawson’s creek (i’m not sure if you’ve ever seen it) which has michelle williams in when she was in her mid/late teens and it was so good to re-watch the greatest showman after seeing her in that show (i really recommend dawson’s creek btw if you’re ever looking for something to binge). ❤️

Isabel

I LOVE Hairspray

Storm

Yesss hairspray

Em&Em

YEEEEEES

Vivian Betancourt

this was so fun! i haven't seen the movie but i recognized almost every song because of the "greatest showman reimagined" soundtrack where a bunch of artists covered the songs from this movie, and a lot of the covers got a lotttt of radio play lol. check it out if you're interested there's some good stuff on there

grace

Thank you for doing this movie, I enjoyed myself so much while watching this comfort film with you ❤️ I got really emotional and I don’t know how to prepare for when I rewatch A Star Is Born with you but I’m so happy that you‘ll do it! ❤️

Clarissa

I would highly recommend you check out the soundtrack "The Greatest Showman Reimaged" it's a bunch if singers singing these songs. Pink sings a song and adds a blurb or her daughter, Kelly Clarkson sings the opera song, and so much more!

Paige Peasley

Loved the reaction! If you are looking for another good musical with Zac Efron you should check out Hairspray! It's one of my favorites :)

Kiara Moscrip

So glad you watched this., you should watch the video of the day they pitched the movie to producers and fox, even if its on your own time, it tugs at the heartstrings. its on YouTube if you want to watch. https://youtu.be/PluaPvhkIMU and https://youtu.be/XLFEvHWD_NE

Emily

Loved this reaction! This is my favorite movie ever! The music, the singing, and the choreography is just so good. This is kinda random, but I know how much you love Zac Efron and Taylor Swift. There’s a video of them on the Ellen show playing guitar together and singing. You should check it out!

Katey

How did you not know Zendaya could sing like that? And you really need to watch Loren Allred sing Never Enough its her song

Viktoria

YES I LOVE BRIDGIT!!!! 😭😭😭😭

Xene

I love this! Agreed, Anne and Phillip were my favorite part of the movie, aside from the whole thing being beautiful and great overall. And they didn't even have a ton of time developing their relationship, but something about it was so believable and sweet. Loved the reaction!

Storm

I love this movie so much

Jules

love this movie!! zendaya is an incredible singer! please add ‘hairspray’ to your musicals list :) so excited for your reaction to a star is born!

heather

Another underrated musical is “lemonade mouth” you should definitely watch that 😇 it has “Bridget mendler” from the Disney show “good luck Charlie” and “Naomi Scott” from “Aladdin 2019”

Courtney Tetley

Yes! Also seconding this one (am I going through the comments to find ones, yes, but shh)

Elizabeth Frounks

Hairspray! I definitely second that one

Elizabeth Frounks

I love this movie and it was fun to watch it again with you. Never Enough and Rewrite the Stars are definitely the standout numbers for me. I still listen to Rewrite the Stars on a regular basis.

Jared

This is one of my favorite musicals I'm glad you loved it! And Yes Zendaya is an amazing singer, she can literally do anything! Rewrite the Stars is my favorite number too!

JT

I'll add my own request, Come From Away comes out this month as a proshot, I'd love to see that be reacted to, it's one of my favourites

Elizabeth Frounks

that is absolutely zendaya singing! she sang on Disney when she was on there, and released her own album in 2013. after that she's for the most part just focused on acting, but she sang on the song All For Us with Labrinth (a song for her show Euphoria). she truly has a beautiful voice.

Lailah

I have never actually watched this. So cool to see it now with you!

Taija Rae

Such a good movie!! Some more musicals that you need to react to are Chicago, Rock of Ages, Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) and Rocky Horror Picture Show (2016). The original Rocky Horror is fantastic and nostalgic but the more recent one I think the singing is better.

Mel Saville

okay i’m back! Zendaya is pronounced Zen-day-a not die-a and yes she definitely has the voice of a singer - she sang on a few of her disney shows back in the day & put out a couple songs in 2013 but then chose to pursue acting primarily! hugh jackman is australian & he actually got his start in the theater! his first major role was gaston in a production of beauty & the beast in australia in 1995 and made his broadway debut in 2003 as peter allen in the broadway premiere of “the boy from oz” - he won a tony for this role along with a few other awards now this is a shameless plug but i analyzed the “Tightrope” scene in my film class during my last semester of college and wrote my final paper on it so i’m sharing a link to it here if anyone wants to read: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BfOVebAXX2K6vlqisbZAQCE3JevEZW5UXRx1Oi2TD0Y/edit the song is so underrated in my opinion & it perfectly correlates with the events unfolding parallel to each other on screen as you pointed out while watching! some fun little things throughout the movie you may or may not have picked up on: - when Barnum comes home early on and Charity is asleep on the couch she’s holding a grocery list basically trying to decide what they can afford to buy and what they can’t. then when Barnum goes to talk to his daughters he puts a Tom Thumb book on their nightstand - Tom Thumb is a character that is as big as his father’s thumb - and after they tell him he needs something “alive” in his museum he sees the book and then sees an apple and is reminded of the woman who handed him an apple back when he was a boy starving on the street and this prompts him going to talk to Charles who then goes by the name Tom Thumb in the show. - when the Barnums pull up to their new house in the carriage drawn by “zebras” the zebras are actually just black horses painted with white stripes bc everything at the circus is fake/hyperbole lol! also the house they buy is the same one that Barnum & Charity explore as kids during “A Million Dreams” - i’m sure you noticed this but all of the circus animals are cgi during the performances/the fire scene - for the shot during “A Million Dreams” super early on in the film whenever we see an aerial shot of all the buildings and whatnot, they 3D printed a miniature replica city and took an aerial shots of it & then added in any characters down on the streets below if necessary as well as adding in the sky/moon/etc to be exactly as they wanted - Anne is so terrified of how society will view her and Phillip together until she almost loses him (because he literally ran into a burning building thinking he had to save her!!!) and after that she doesn’t care if all the judgey white people are giving them looks in the hospital while they kiss because nothing will keep them apart <3 i also love that you said you weren’t so sure Barnum saw his show as “a celebration of humanity” and he actually just saw it as an opportunity to profit off the people he featured because that’s EXACTLY what real life Barnum did. the movie tries to paint him as this great guy who messed up but gets redeemed but he was a terrible exploitative human being i could go on and on about this movie but i’ll leave it here because i need to go to sleep but Hairspray is the other musical that Zac is in and the one that forced him to work on his singing between hsm 1 and 2!

McKenna DeFranco

i’m about halfway through so here are answers to all of the questions you had in the first half/fun facts: the two child actors from the beginning aren’t actually singing “A Million Dreams” - they were cast for their resemblance to Hugh Jackman & Michelle Williams, not for their singing voices lol Yes this movie is about PT Barnum of Barnum & Bailey‘s circus but just like with Hamilton we separate this artistic representation from the actual shitty human being Barnum was because that deplorable man does not deserve praise or a redemption arc. Zac Efron’s voice has definitely deepened since playing Troy, but it’s even more evident how different his singing is here just because the songs are written in an appropriate key for him while all of the HSM songs were written with Troy as a tenor when Zac is definitely more of a baritone Anne & WD are brother & sister so no Zac’s character is not trying to steal his girl, WD is just being an overprotective big bro! Also in the scene where they hold hands and then he lets go after he gets disapproving looks it’s because she’s a Black woman and he’s an upperclass white man in the 1800s - this point is made clear later in the movie obviously. It’s also the reason Zendaya asks “are we all invited?” to the queen because she and WD can’t fathom the concept of being included in the invitation. Rebecca Ferguson (Jenny Lind) also does not sing in this movie. The voice you hear is Loren Allred - she sang the demo version of this song and Rebecca loved it so much and decided that Loren sang it too perfectly for her to try and sing it herself so she studied Loren’s delivery to be able to lip sync it perfectly for the film :) okay that’s all for now i’ll be back at the end!

McKenna DeFranco

ahh you will absolutely love a star is born i can’t wait!!

Makenna

you should definitely check out falsettos(2016 revival)!! there is a pro-shot on youtube! it’s one of my favorite musicals!!

CarlyAnn

There’s an interview with Zendaya on Fallon where she talks about the bts rewrite the stars swing https://youtu.be/mriYyuDmB58

Sydney

I love this movie. Some suggestions for musicals to watch and react to: Rent, Hairspray, Grease Live, and Chicago
