2022-06-06 20:01:51 +0000 UTCYou should definitely go through CALM again to see who sings what but CALM is just Luke all the way through with Calum doing a lot of the backing vocals (you can clearly hear him on Lover of Mine during the second verse and chorus, plus he has Wildflower all to himself). Sadly we did not have a Michael solo but he's there on all the choruses. Ashton has a couple high notes here and there and a bit of backing vocals.

Mainly only 4 members are the vocalists while the 5th will occasionally join in for a few songs in their discography! Also,in the KPOP genre, there are a few bands that are well known but otherwise you'll find a lot of the Korean bands more in the Indie Music genre. DAY6 has a variety of songs in different genres like, pop, rock, ballads, etc. They're a really diverse group that writes and produces their own music. I'm super glad I was able to introduce DAY6 to you! Hope you can react to more of their music :) I always tell everyone if there's a band/artist who sings practically the soundtrack of my life then it's definitely them haha.

And to top all off what you said, they almost always had zero budget, with little to no promos. On their tours, they had no stage design. Often, it would just look like a school talent show with four steps of stairs and a black curtain backdrop 🥲 To add also to what Michael said about “too many cooks in the kitchen”, yes they had almost no control at all, and they all started at the age of 15-17, so they didn’t have the chance to explore who they were as musicians. Lauren even said in one of their interviews that for a long time, she was just mentally not there. She didn’t know who she was because they were all just put in a box. Looking back at it now, Camila is actually pretty lucky to get out of that and for her to be able to explore herself as a musician. Although she got a lot of hate, she did have the most of the harmonizer fans. Yes, yes most of the fans were very divided and took sides. 🥲 Anyway, Ally is also working on some music right now, and I believe has a lot of Spanish influences and collaborations. And Dinah has a few singles out and an EP, that are very in the 90s and early 2000s vibe.

Hes one of those artists that I feel is so underrated in the US. His debut album Blue Neighbourhood was just ahead of its time, so fucking good, and his sophomore album, just as good. Its a discography that’s definitely worth checking out. The Band Camino! They’re a band I personally discovered in the last year and they’re sooo good, everything I’ve heard from them is better than the last thing. They’re dropping their debut album next week, I’m excited, their EP , which i thought was an album because its like 10 songs, its fucking amazing I was a hugeee Fifth Harmony fan, so I’m never gonna be one to say that reacting to their stuff would be a waste. The girls are all so talented and they were so young, but to see the music they make now, how amazing it is, its awesome to see their start. I even voted for them on the X factor lol . They are so so talented & for what it was, Fifth Harmony was great, I just think they never really found a way to truly find that perfect pocket for them, but I enjoyed all their albums, even the one after Camila left. & I gotta say that all their covers are fantastic. I will always say that the vocal talent from all 5 is insane.

They all have great voices, but were not always consistent in their live performances. There's a lot of debate from their different fandoms about who was the best, who was the powerhouse, who had the best stage presence, etc. and really it all comes down to opinion and for me, consistency in performances. Belting in a studio or intimate setting isn't the same as being able to do the same at a live performance in front of an audience, and that's where some of them were not as strong. Also, they were overworked, over sexualized from a young age, under a lot of stress from the label, and didn't have creative control which is why Camila ended up leaving. She wanted to make her own music and got a lot of hate from fans for that. I'm sure you've heard some of their most popular songs like Work From Home and Worth It just out and about because they were huge. I'm not a 5H fan myself so I'm sure other fans can give you the best live ones to check out because some of them were a hot mess. I think a lot of fans get caught up in the nostalgia their music brings, but want to overlook how unhappy they all were towards the end. I do know Normani and Lauren have been working on albums for quite a while. I hope they all have success, and that fans would quit pitting them against each other and stirring up drama.

I was actually thinking of requesting him at some point, but was having a hard time choosing a song lol I haven't sat and listened to the 2021 album yet, but Sing to me Instead was heavy in my rotation in 2019. I love everything about that performance of Breakup Song tbh. They all look gorgeous, Leigh's hair is so freaking cute like that, their outfits are A+ and they sound amazing! Which is the usual for them, but for them to have come out so strong, collected, and at the top of their game despite everything that was happening at the time was so reassuring and kind of amazing lol. I feel like all your requesters are kind of on the same wavelength this month, because I almost requested Kesha's Praying as well! This song gives me chills, and it's such a huge F you to her abuser, but also to everyone who ever said that she can't sing, or that her music wasn't up to par, whatever that means. She did a lot of party pop, which isn't up everyone's alleys (including mine) but there's so much value in music that makes people want to dance, that makes them smile, and that is fun and carefree, and it just makes me so sad that she got shit on by so many people when that was her goal. The fact that she had to go through something like this and make this song before anyone would see value in her talent is so, like. I don't know. Great reactions, Michael! He was just a lot younger in this one and didn't use his teeth on his guitar. LOL Dougie Poynter was the one you heard more of this time. The Drummer is Harry Judd. He has always been the Drummer. They are all just younger here. I think Dougie was 15 when they got together back in 2003. All the songs were originals off their 1st Album 'Room On The 3rd Floor' that came out in 2004. The song that they did the whole thing in the surf medley was 'That Girl'. I love the fact that it goes from you'll never get her, to I can't believe you got her, to Sorry that you lost her LOL then went into the next song that kina seemed like a continuation of the 'That Girl' story. You should go thru their discography. They are a bad where even their 1st Album had lots of Bangers on it. They are very very good at song writing. ESPECIALLY Tom Fletcher. Their latest album released in 2020 'Young Dumb Thrills" The biggest time gap is between 2013 to 2019. They teamed up with Busted, the band Tom Fletcher mentioned in the Musical, to become McBusted. They made an album and did a McBusted tour. That is something to introduce you to later. :-) Oh yeah and The Year 3000 the Jonas Brothers did was a cover from the band Busted. Busted is a good group... I just like McFly better .
