Selena have never been a strong vocalist although she has improved throughout the years, but I still love her voice because itβs very soothing π also I feel like itβs easy to get distracted from the song itself whenever you have like crazy vocals , with Selena you can really appreciate what you get π

It's also funny that you mentioned Justin, considering, that revival is completely about him and a lot of songs on rare are about him as well, but mostly about moving on from the relationship with him. And you should watch her interview about Rare with Zane Lowe, they talk about her friendship with Taylor also, same with Taylorβs interview with Zane. (Lover era maybe)

Her records are so good and are all so different she has 3 solo albums and 3 albums with her band the scene. If you like Feel Me your going to love her droplet era and Revival. BTW Selena and Taylor Swift have been best friends in real life since 2009. She's been through a lot of stuff I hope you do some documentaries or even check out her discussing her health concerns with lupus and her kidney transplant. I just love that you loved her and you'll continue to love her.

2021-09-25 03:07:36 +0000 UTCI'm so glad you're checking out her work. I love Selena. This is definitely not my favorite album of hers, but it does have a few of my favorite songs from her. I really like and even love a lot of it, but you said it perfectly. The ones I don't like are forgettable, and even some of those had parts that I really enjoyed; it's just those didn't deliver as a whole. I'm really glad you did the deluxe version, because I think the deluxe tracks are some of the best on the album. And the layout of the deluxe version is unusual with those songs being scattered across the album, but I appreciate that she didn't just add them on the end. It seems like she took the time to put them where they fit well within the standard tracklist, and she even reorganized the order of the standard tracks.

2021-09-25 02:55:49 +0000 UTCI'm so glad you're listening to Selena Gomez! She's one of my favorites. So she went through a lot prior to this album as you can tell through some of these songs. Interesting you mentioned Justin Bieber because a few of these songs are about him (Lose You to Love Me, definitely). They had a very public on/off relationship for years and it could've been seen as a toxic one. Selena has another song called "The Heart Wants What It Wants" which is another about Justin, explaining to basically to the world why she kept going back to him. She also went through a lot of things, medically like needing a kidney transplant (she received a kidney from one of her best friends), and she also mentioned her mental health. And while she was on the Kelly Clarkson show, she mentioned how important this album was to her and also talked about how she knows she doesn't have the best voice, Kelly actually stopped her and said that it doesn't matter and you don't have to have the loudest voice or the greatest vocal range, it's all about emotion. I loved that Kelly said that to her because she and others needed to hear that. I love her album Revival!

Stars Dance is from 2013, and it's filled with a lot of pop/edm songs that are just a good time and have classic pop sounds. Revival is probably her most cohesive album, and it has so many hits and some more personal moments

I think you said before that you're a big Ed Sheeran fan and I'm pretty sure you had Divide on your old set so i really think you need to see this https://youtu.be/-gtoSEKKtsk Basically Ed's first album Plus is now 10 y/o and he did a show where he played it from beginning to end. It was surprisingly emotional to watch even through a screen and i just think that as a fan you'd love it. The quality is scarily good too like i have no idea how the dude did it to film the show but it's great! Anyways, that's it :)
