And also it’s important for the character development!

Nevermore, and a lot of other aspects of this show, aren't from the original Addams Family, or any of the other films/tv shows. The original Addams family was just a creepy family down the street in a newspaper comic, and most of the movies branches off from that. The writer of the Addams family has been dead for 40+ years, so lots of people have taken the stories and branched it out since him. You can definitely tell that Wednesday took on a more 'magical' vibe that was inspired by things like Harry Potter and other magical boarding schools.

If she had just told her friends that she wanted to do something against the rules and dangerous, they might have followed her anyway. However, she did not give them a chance to have knowledgeable consent. Enid's anger is so justified. That's what makes this a great drama. Wednesday's actions fit her character and tug at the audience's heartstrings. Shout out to Lisa Loring, who played Wednesday in 1964-1966!

Seeing the other Addams Family characters is fun, but the show is at its best when it's focused on Wednesday and the mystery. Glad I'm not the only one who felt such a strong HP influence! Even Enid's family totally gave me Weasley vibes!

Also, Jenna is starring in a movie called "The Fallout", I don't know if you've already seen it. It's a great movie, TW it's about a school shooting and the trauma after that.
