This show is really starting to get so non fun frustrating. TALK TO EACH OTHER!!!! DAMN!! It's as infuriating as the heroine/hero running up the stairs away from the killer instead of just leaving the house, but for an entire hour and not in a suspenseful way. Thankfully dad opens his mouth. Aaaah! Sorry rant over. That jumpscare was amazing though.

Something else that makes the car jump scare more believable was the timing. The actors knew it was coming, as it had a planned time to happen at a certain cue as rehearsed. Before the first take, Flanagan told Nell's actress to come in earlier than was written and the practiced cue. She did it earlier, and the reactions from Theo and Shirley were genuine. "It also scared the s*** out of all of us at the monitor," Flanagan admitted. "All of us who knew it was coming were completely blindsided by it and every time I've seen it, I'm never prepared. I'm just never ready for it because I get sucked into what they're saying and they seem so relaxed that it just gets me."
