Before you move onto Romance, I think you should check out her debut single (that wasn’t on this album for some reason) Crying in the Club, as well as the singles I Have Questions and OMG. Besides that, Romance is a definite step up and I think you’ll really enjoy it!

Loved your reaction and can’t wait for your reaction to the romance album. She’s an incredible vocalist- definitely recommend listening to apple music’s new music daily romance concert she did (~6 songs) to launch her second album. Also consequences at the AMA’s and all her Grammy performances are insane. In terms of interviews, she’s done 3 interviews with Zach Lowe (should check Shawn’s one too particularly for the wonder album) - he’s an incredible interviewer and speaks the artists language.

Oh it could be :) I remember she had a interview where she had said one of them she wrote way back about a old situation she was in. (My oh my or cry for me I cant recall) but it very well could have been from when he was with hailey. I think there's a lot about the shawn camila story that will always remain a mystery. It comes across like they were in a unofficial type of "thing" where they played it off to the world and eachother and they didn't face it until they lost eachother. I'm intrigued by their story and excited to see what the next albums bring😊

Some back story for when you listen to that album because its autobiographical.  Romance is very heartfelt she started writing it when she was with her ex boyfriend. Basically from things alluded to in interviews and song lyrics, it seems shawn and camila had a bestfriends but more thing for years and hid it..something romantic may have happened (know the way you taste,  2am references from both, hotel room refrences) but shawn wasn't ready to commit to a all-in relationship , so she moved on. Then you got the songs from shawns album which he was heartbroken she moved on and he admitted shes all he wanted and he loved her and then romance is camilas response to shawn , and her feelings leaving her ex and going all in with shawn.  So for reference for the future . "Shamless" and "Liar" she wrote after the senorita rehearsals with shawn. "Bad kind if butterflies" is her break up song to her ex because she has butterflies for another man(shawn) "Used to this" she wrote after shawn took her to san francisco the first week or 2 of dating "Feel it twice" and "Should've said it" she wrote after shawn confessed he was in love with her after she already had a boyfriend "Living proof" seems to be about the feelings she had meeting her ex "First man" she wrote for her dad before her and shawn were together I believe "Dream of you" and "This love" are about shawn. Because shawn responds to dream of you with dream in his album and this love is about a relationship that is a push pull and stuck in the middle.  It seems to describe their love story before they became official. "My oh my" doesn't seem to be about either of them."Cry for me" was written awhile ago not sure who its about . "Easy" seems to be about shawn. She says lyrics "Know the future and the old me" .(shawns known her for years) She also posted a snippet on ig in I think June 2019 , right before her and shawn became official . During the time shawn wouldn't leave her alone about his love for her . Sorry was so long,  I just wanted to help with what I could before you experience Romance . Also check out her live performances and her global citizens concert with shawn. They Both are even better live than in studio recordings. Shawns netflix concert is amazing too if you haven't seen it . 😊

Thanks for adding Camila to the repertoire; she is an amazing vocalist and songwriter. Her second album blew me away, and I was already obsessed with this one. I cannot wait for your commentary on Romance and the wonderland of sounds and producers she manifested. I'd definitely check out Camila interviews first cause Romance is pretty autobiographical (with exceptions of course). I cannot wait for tht 1989 and whatever else is up your sleeve

I remember this album came out the year I graduated. I’d drive with the windows down and scream the lyrics. I had a car that had a crappy CD player so I’d have to make my own cassette tapes and listen to music that way. This album was one of the first I did, including the iconic reputation album.

Yeah, they were. If I remember correctly, both were on the original version of the album (titled the hurting, the healing, the loving). Crying in the club was the lead single but a few months later she decided to push the album release date, retitle the album, and she scrapped a bunch of the original songs for new material (including crying in the club and I have questions).

The way you react to each song is so cool, if you love the studio versions of the songs you should check out the live performances she has done. there is one for consequences (AMA's) and also some for never be the same (Jimmy Fallon). Most people would agree she sounds just as good if not better live.

I’ve been waiting for this!! after you react to her sophomore album romance she did two at home concerts with master card that had some songs from her first and second albums as like a mash up acoustically and there’s so good you should check them out after you do romance.

This was a GREAT debut album, I personally LOVE her sophmore album, Romance, even more. You can really feel the growth, her pen is beautiful on the second album, the production is great, vocals amazing as always, but her writing is the star &&&& if it hasn’t occurred to you already, Romance is all about Shawn 🥰 Journey to get Shawn & loving Shawn lol so Romance & Wonder are very much love letters to each other 😍 you’ll love it!
