She would have no right to say judgemental things when she loves damon. Elena as a character is someone who is understanding and forgiving so it would be out of character if she was anything but supportive.

2017-11-19 21:24:37 +0000 UTCExcept Elena has never judged Caroline adding in Caroline was being a bad friend by saying insincere things like "diseased brain" and "all the more reasons you need to CURE her" as if something was wrong with Elena just because she had feelings for Damon. And Damon isn't the cliche bad boy he was never bad to begin with....The experiences he went through changed him and it all started with Katherine/Stefan forcing him to complete transition...Human Damon and Elena were a lot alike actually...Both pretty naive/insecure and didn't really have purpose but loved hard...Vampirism is what changed them and caused them to grow....Elena was just that special person to bring out what Damon had buried deep inside for centuries after being abused/used and manipulated.

2017-11-19 14:31:53 +0000 UTCI agree amber g. I'm not saying Caroline is not being a bit hypocritical and the fact that she does like Klaus makes her feel a lot more frustrated with everything. However, if Caroline ever tried to have a romantic relationship with Klaus and justify his actions to Elena I would expect Elena to be very opinionated about it instead of being all "Okay I support you as your friend even though Klaus killed Jenna and killed me and tormented me and my friends for years."

And I understand her more thanks to your comment bc you r right she has never seen the good side of Damon that part has always been shown to Elena. I hope they can see him in a better light soon too.

How can she say the things she says in the same episode she spends the whole day flirting with klaus. It's extremely hypocritical. Klaus abused elena, killed her aunt, hurt her friends etc. But elena didn't give caroline crap in the episode when she saw them together, she didn't even bring it up.

Or maybe because his character is one of the cliche bad boy who changed because of a girl. I've also been in Caroline's shoes so I understand her completely. I don't think she was being a bad friend though. She thinks Damon is an abuser and she feels like Elena is being manipulated so of course she's going to try and get her to see reason. Friends support each other, yes. But what Damon did to Caroline is unforgivable and she wouldn't be Caroline if she didn't speak up.for what she believed in. She sees Damon as an abuser and a manipulator and it's really hard and frustrating to watch your friend fall for the same man who hurt you.

2017-11-18 23:32:43 +0000 UTCCaroline got on my nerves the first time I watched this episode, but when I thought about it, it made sense to me and I understood her. We know Damon loves Elena and wouldn't hurt her because we've seen the moments between them. Caroline hasn't. She's only seen Damon's worst sides. When she became a vampire, Damon tried to kill her immediately, he forced Elena to drink vampire blood to survive Klaus' sacrifice, he tried to kill her father, he turned Bonnie's mom into a vampire. Then there's the obvious: What he did to her as a human. He used her and fed off her and hurt her for weeks. Yes, Damon is a different person now than who he was when he first came to town, but you can't ask a person to forgive their abuser, no matter how much they may have changed. Did Caroline say things that were out of line? YES. Was she a bad friend to Elena this episode? YES. But with the history she has with Damon, it's very understandable. Damon abused her - No other word for it. Imagine if your best friend started dating the guy who used to abuse you. THAT'S how Caroline is feeling.
