2018-10-16 16:49:52 +0000 UTCmaybe you only hate romance bc you've never seen it done WELL before like it's done on aos!! one thing i've noticed about this show and watching all the reactions to it is that these writers have turned even the biggest dudebros into sobbing shippers and i LOVE IT it's amazing. they do a great job at balancing romance and action and angst and suspense i think that's why more than just the usual audience is so willing to embrace the romance with this show. i love the parallels with fitz coming out of the framework and daisy coming out of being swayed by hive. they both blame themselves, they both compare themselves to ward, they both take full responsibility for their actions even though they were both essentially under mind control. the key difference between them and ward though is that they take responsibility where ward always pushed it off on someone else. that's what makes them different and THAT'S why i love those two my poor children give them a break!!!! it's SO FUNNY you say the thing about trying to explain fitzsimmons to someone who doesn't watch the show bc i think there's a post on tumblr with a bunch of notes on it that summarizes them and it really is so bizarre seeing it spelled out i laugh every time i see it. my poor unfortunate ship they really go through hell every season if they weren't such good actors we wouldn't have to deal with this!!! curse iain and liz!! i was so stressed during that fitz/aida scene with jemma watching there were so many moments when i thought he'd kiss her and i was ready to throw something at my tv and THEN he says "for her" and i SCREAMED AND THEN LAUGHED BC AIDA'S LONG PAUSE AND "WHAT" IS HYSTERICAL. fitz's reaction was an immediate "oh shit" face drop it killed me i love that scene.

The fourth season has the episodes that I had never seen more than once, not because the stoyline is not good (actually, it's amazing hahaha), but because it breaks my heart, it's a lot for me to watch over and over, I can not bear to see Fitz in this situation, and the whole team going through it. And as much as this is not the craziest storyline of AoS, it's the one that leaves me most agonized and with a roller coaster of emotions.

2018-10-16 04:57:16 +0000 UTCWhen Fitz was explaining to Ophelia about feelings and empathy, he wasn't "playing her" per se, he knew that emotions were new to her so he was trying to get her to understand them and how HE was feeling for his friends. So, he was basically walking her through emotions. The problem is, it turned out to be all too much to process at once and she went mad. She never had the upbringing to learn how to process emotions correctly and, with all her powers, she became a mad god.
