I always get kind of annoyed everyone hates on Lindsey because she's not Peyton. She's actually better for him IMO. Peyton and Lucas were always kind of codependent and a little toxic. They seem to be in love with the idea of being with each other more than they actually are good together. Lindsey is so sweet to everyone including his exes. I love Before Midnight/Before Sunset etc though. <3

Jamie is so cute!! And Brooke is an amazing godmother! I think this season is when Brooke became my favorite character!

I actually really like her character, and in some ways like her relationship more than Leyton, but I also understand why the writers went in the direction that they did. I think we all know how this was going to end long before it actually happened, but I kinda wish it didn’t end that way. I do think Luke is too good for his own good.

I have so much love for Jamie and his relationships with all of the adults, especially Brooke. Also Quentin and Nanny Carrie's first episode, ooh.

He just is never single for whatever reason. 😂 imho Lucas is always running from Peyton by convincing himself he’s into someone else. He also did that with Brooke in S1.

I think Lucas just can’t be single for whatever reason 😂 Brooke finally gets a chance to really shine as a character. She is such a loyal, caring person and the fact that one phone call from Peyton and they’re going home makes my heart happy. ❤️ Naley are hard to watch through these episodes, but there problems are so real and raw that I’m happy that the writers chose that as a hurdle for them. Plus, Joy’s acting in the “I am here” scene was fantastic. 👏👏👏 I also watch everything Juli does haha except when I’m too excited to get to the next scene ;) I’m ready for 5.03 now 😍😍😍

I personally think this is all on Lucas and I am already rolling my eyes haha Brooke and Jamie are the definition of adorable. Seeing them together always lets ne know that Brooke would make an incredible mother someday. ❤️

I've never been a fan of Leyton as a couple, so I'm more "whatever" about the whole situation and I don't really care much about it. But putting Lindsay into the mix certainly make things interesting. I will make a longer comment about all of it when we get to that.

There's just so much pain and frustration behind those words and I feel for both of them in that scene. And when Nathan drove himself into the pool and eventually stood up was such a good scene. He's finally realizing couldn't keep hurting, not on purpose ofc, his friends and family like this and that he has to start fighting and I am here for it.

I love this show and I’m so glad to be getting your thoughts and reactions to this season and the next which are just amazing. I get what Nathan is going through, he missed his dreams by a breath and now he’s broken and bitter but I’m glad Haley snapped at him, I also agreed with Peyton that there are a lot of people in way worse shape than he is. I like the tough love approach but it doesn’t always work. I understand why you’d think that Haley, Lucas and Peyton are being a bit hard on him but they just want him to snap out of it and go back to being the Nathan they know and love, the fighter-champion and it must be really hard seeing someone you love like this. I loved that scene where he rolled himself to the pool and rose in the water, it was sort of a moment of rebirth where Haley's words finally rang in his head, "you have a son who is here!!!" "I am here!!!" And what can I say of that scene, Bethany (Haley) knocked it out of the ball park. It was amazing. Nathan finally realised he had too much too lose and that scene where he took Jamie to ride his race car and face his fears was just amazing!!! I loved all of Lucas and Peyton's scenes, especially the one at the abandoned space at Tric where she’s gonna start her new Record Label. I laughed at how clichê it was that she didn’t go talk to him at his book signing because she saw him with Lindsay and thought they were together which of course they weren’t and only started dating after lol of course!!! I love that even though they’re not together they can still be such great friends and supportive of each other and their art!! You were absolutely right that the scene at the record label was one of their most beautiful moments, it absolutely is. It was so perfect and pure. They just inspire each other and it was so great that they brought back that moment from 1x03 when he submitted her artwork to THUD magazine without her permission lol and then went back to gym to play after almost giving up because he’d played so poorly on his first Raven's game because he was nervous and she inspired him so he submitted her sketches and once he got to the gym, he told her "Your art matters, it’s what got me here." as Gavin DeGraw's 'Belief' was played in the background. It was one of their first epic moments!!! And now here, she’s inspired him to start writing again. And that’s kind of what this show is about, Your art mattering, wether it’s basketball, or music, or literature, or art or design/fashion. It’s about believing in yourself and making your dreams come to life and walking this journey with your friends and family. I get hating Lindsay lol, as a Leyton shipper I kind of wanted to hate her too but she’s not bad at all, she’s actually very genuine and mature. I just don’t care for her and I don’t care for her as Lucas' girlfriend when we’ve invested 4 seasons on his relationships with Peyton and Brooke, so his relationship with Lindsay just comes off as weaker, mehhh and whatever. Like someone above said, Lucas and Peyton are a trainwreck when they have feelings for each other but aren’t together and anyone caught in the middle tends to get hurt so let’s see what happens lol. I love Brooke this season, you’re absolutely right when you say that you can really see the growth and this is the Brooke Davis everyone loves!! This is Brooke at her best, being an amazing and supportive friend, conscious and successful businesswoman and an amazing godmother to Jamie!! I’m so glad she taught him to take a stand for what he believes in, you really see her step in her role as godmother. I absolutely love the evolution of her friendship with Peyton as well. They’re at such a good and mature place. I absolutely love Jamie’s relationships with all his uncles and aunts, it’s a really beautiful thing you’ll continue to see as the series goes on. They continually step up for him and he becomes a part of their group.

As horrible as Nathan's situation is, I love the realism of seeing them struggle in their marriage. Haley and Nathan are like a fairytale love sometimes b/c they are so perfect (which I love) but they also have struggles and I love seeing that b/c I think that the best love stories you have to fight for :)

I don't love Lindsey b/c I love Peyton but I can't hate her b/c she is soo nice. She was so nice to Peyton and I love how she encouraged Luke to help Peyton even though she knows about their past. She seems so genuine "I will try not to be insanely jealous". I could not be that mature. I would not want my bf that close to his epic past love. Nope :)

Brooke’s character really is my favorite this season. Her relationship with Jamie is/will continue be SO special and it just gives my heart full !!! Jamie is so freaking cute. The Naley scene was so well acted and damn good, this show has some damn acting !! I love your reactions YOU make us so happy and I’m happy you know that. I CAN’T WAIT FOR EPISODE THREE ALREADY ! She isn’t obligated to speak to her if she doesn’t want to. Other than that, I like Lindsay. I get the Lindsay hate from the Leyton fandom. It’s illogical to think that a group of people who want certain characters together wouldn’t hate the person that’s in between them. But Lindsay hasn’t done anything wrong. It’s not her fault that for whatever reasons (we know why) Leyton didn’t work out. I love Peyton and Lucas individually but they are an utter train wreck when they aren’t together. This is going to be a bumpy ride them this season and a messy one. Brooke and Jamie are my favorite duo. That is all.

2020-06-03 09:37:08 +0000 UTCI think Nathan’s situation doesn’t necessarily mean he’s depressed. I think he’s just lost and doesn’t know who exactly he is anymore without basketball. And neither Haley nor Peyton or Lucas were trying to say snap out of it, they just want him to fight back. Like Haley said “are you gonna say anything?” - he needs to at least take a stand (no pun intended) and wanting to figure it out. Because he still has so much. Haley’s “I am here” breaks my heart every time. She just wants her husband back, the man that fights for his dreams and loves his son.
