I remember when they debuted. The "pre-debut" tracks What is Love (one of my fave k-pop songs ever) and History made me give them a chance but when I heard this actual debut I was like what the hell lol. It's just not my style. This song grew on me eventually because I really stepped away from the instrumentation and focused on their vocals. They sang their butts off so props for that. I'm glad I stuck around as a fan because Exo's catalog of music is one of my favorites.

Welcome to the early days if EXO, TRC. It was a lot. (Lol) I haven't watched this video in years. The intro, the mandated pop-ups you can't remove, the rap. Great memories. They have come so far.

I remember my first EXO MV was Growl but Mama was the first song I heard on like...some random Kpop station on Apple radio. But yeah- this video and song are pretty intense. I still love listening to the song but from what I remember, it wasn’t everyone’s favorite lol. Still, I agree, quite a debut 😂
