Please Review our new Baby Bird Course!

Hey guys!

If you've had a chance to start our new Baby Bird Course, please consider leaving a review here! Reviews help so much, and our baby bird course goes live to the public on the 19th so having as many positive reviews as possible will REALLY help us in our mission to save birds one person at a time - it starts with those people who buy babies and ensuring a lifetime of success so that baby doesn't end up in an over-crowded rescue.

Thank you for leaving a review of our new course! It's so appreciated!

Reminder: all tiers get this course at a discount of $15 off good through July 19. The code is BABY15.

Rocko and Morgan tiers get this course for free in their tier.

It sounds like you need to work from the cage. Small birds mature much faster than large birds and if you aren't set up for success allowing the bird out, you need to work up to that.

The course had great content, but did not address the fact that in real life, my baby WC Pionus just flies right out of her cage and heads for the nearest high place so target training and step up training aren't possible. What do I do in this situation?

Aw I love this! Yeah, we could do it for each individual bird in context but it won't necessarily translate that way for everyone else. Hard to do for body language unless it's "this bird specifically" sorta thing as you mentioned. I appreciate hearing your feedback so much! Thank you!

I recently discovered you guys and finished watching the baby bird course. I'm a zoologist/trainer specialized in military working dogs and I’m waiting on the arrival my first parrot. Despite having quite a few years of training experience, I view working with a new species like learning an entirely new language - and it was through searching for online resources that I discovered BirdTricks. As someone who is very scientific in their explanations, I was super impressed by how you described associative learning concepts in a way that is accessible to everyone. My poor K9 handlers tend to get force-fed terminology to where they develop a rather serious distaste for behavior theory 😅. My husband and I also have a very particular lifestyle that involves traveling around the world with our pack of dogs, and so having insight into how you prepare your babies for what you do was truly invaluable. Desensitization and developing emotional resilience is a massive part of what I do with our program puppies, so I thoroughly enjoyed the emphasis on that and the NOUN experience (such a clever name). Loved the beginning of the body language section where you had little callouts from the macaw explaining what certain behaviors meant. I selfishly would have liked for the course to have contained more on body language specifics, but I understand how challenging it is because so much is contextual/individual (rarely is there a single gesture that always means X). Anyhow, all that was just to say thank you for the great course and the plethora of other videos you post!

Shoot I missed the deadline 4 the discount! Fire evacuation. I want to say, my birds did amazingly well when I had to evacuate with them due to the Lava Fire. With so many disasters happening, make sue you have a plan and a go bag packed. Most importantly I had practiced with the travel cage and my Conure hopped right in, then had to live in a cage he wasn't used to, in a strange place. It brought us closer together....

My wife and I watched and "studied" the course intensely. It truly is a MUST for anyone who has or who is getting a baby bird. At the end of this month, we will be getting our baby Harlequin (Harley) and the timing on this course for us couldn't have been better. Thank you Jamie and Dave for such an informative and fun presentation. You have truly brought bird ownership into the modern age. By the way, we presently have an adult Greenwing and have already used many of the tips for him, even though he is not a "baby" bird. Keep up the great work!

I love this course. Weening & regression scares the heck out of me though so I’m thankful for the advice on how to be prepared for those things. I’m living at work for awhile so I made sure to download everything before I left the house. I already watched it at home but I intend to watch everything through at least twice. I can’t stress how much confidence these courses gave me in my ability to care for a bird. I also realize now that I was “comfortable” with the idea of getting a bird before watching these courses while confusing that with being “confident”…& wrongly so. People don’t know what they don’t know & that’s where I was. I’m glad I had the sense to research & even happier that BirdTricks was so easy to find. ***I say courses (plural) because I have everything, not just the Baby Bird Course. Seeing how quickly a baby bird can progress, I’m glad to have taken the extra steps.

I have not had a chance to start the course yet, but am so very excited about it!!
