Video Requests Wanted!

Hey 👋 awesome patron community. I'm looking to create future content on topics YOU want to know about. So whether it be exclusively here on Patreon or a YouTube video or a future training course, etc... we want to know what you'd like to see from US. Leave your suggestions in the comments and make sure to heart ♥️ suggestions from other people that you really like, too!

Suggestions can include things like:

* I'd like to see species specific spotlights.

* I prefer watching your in-home consults but would love to see you include more parts on it so we can see MORE of the consult in and of itself.

* I'd love to take part in a live stream of a masterclass!

* I prefer seeing FUN, entertaining videos more often of just you guys hanging out with your birds doing a whole lot of nothing but learning more about your flock's dynamics and personalities.

* I'd enjoy freeflight content more if you included trainer interviews so we understood the story from your perspective...

... etc. These are just random thoughts that pop into my head so if you guys have NEW content ideas, share them. If you have ideas how to improve current content structures (like freeflight videos, masterclass videos, in home consult videos, etc...) please share that too. We are always up for changing our approach and updating how we spread our content out there and share it with you, the viewer.

Thanks, all!

Yes please! All kinds of harness training, as not one seems to be working for my Caique so far 😅

Olena Boltushkina

I would really like to see an update on Morgan :)

Abner Arias

Have you already watched our budgie course?

BirdTricks

Baby conures and biting. I try to replace my poor fingrs with a toy, ignore the bad and reward the good,, but sometimes my GCC just comes up to me and chomps on my fingers, neck, ear, and face unprovoked, and it is hard to ignore when it hurts! When I try to put him down/on a perch/in cage he clamps on harder and yells. :(

epona

+100

epona

Seconded! Would love a more affordable flight training course, small group idea is good.

epona

"* I'd love to take part in a live stream of a masterclass! " YES! A live webinar with y'all would be awesome.

epona

Such great ideas! +1 to all of the above

Missy Sanchez Lee

I’d love to see any kind of harness training ideas, and cockatiel-specific content!

Veronica Park

And videos about ways to desensitize birds without getting them overwhelmed.

Nayelie

I’d love watching long consult videos!

Nayelie

LOVE This!!!

I am working on Spencer (Goffins), and have gained some insight with your Budgie course. This LoveBird is super challenging though. I will be emailing you! Thanks

Susan Engels

Hi Susan - I recommend our natural nutrition course for you to start converting your cockatoo onto a healthier diet. As for your budgie, have you tried using our budgie course to help? For more help please email us info@birdtricks.com as your issues are more one on one based. Thanks!

BirdTricks

My Goffins won't eat veggies! The vet says he's showing signs of gout. 😢 Help! Also, My Budgie was attacked by my cat when she was clipped and I had to catch her to treat the wound. She isn't clipped now, but won't sit on my finger, or have anything to do with me if I come close; she will step up in a perch though. Thoughts? I have a 6yr. old Love Bird, I took in. He will accept millet when 8 hold it in my fingers, but if I get my fingers near him without millet in them, he tries to bite. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Susan Engels

Specific "how to" videos that "expand" on the topics in your training courses, ie; how to get your baby or maturing bird to accept wing examination, station training, how you are so quickly able to kiss all project birds, ways to correctly socialize a bird if you are new to birds. I have all your training videos but watching you do an expanded hands on is extremely helpful. (Especially those that don't go perfectly, like parrots, I learn best from the mistakes 😀 ). One of your most powerful videos, for me, was the Power Pause. It came through clear as a bell for me! I prefer the Master class videos that focus more on the work with the written commentary and replays to help identify the behavior. Expand more on ways to enrich our birds life beyond toys and outdoor time (not meant to diminish the importance, just extras for folks w/o weather or outdoor aviaries). Informational vlogs about living with birds geared toward newbies covering products, research, best things you learned when you were a newbie, etc. I would get the most out of my subscription if this could be my one stop for bird husbandry. I trust the information you provide and would gladly leave all Facebook groups. A consult plan geared toward patreon members. Something that takes into consideration that we already have all your video content. Percentage discount, frequent buyer discounts, or prepaid package deals. More body language videos on varied species.

Darla X

I would love to hear more about budgies. I love my buddy who talks and does all kinds of funny tricks with or without me but refuses to get on my finger, he will give me a kiss, play with my hair but scolds me when I hold my finger up for him to get on. He will target but won’t step up.

Alice Nelson

A livestream masterclass would be amazing! I would also like to see more freeflight videos that include more of a perspective on the bird from you guys as trainers.

Jen Greenberg

Love this!

Shawna Raye

Indoor free flight!!

Shawna Raye

Pionus species spotlight

Shawna Raye

I agree. My cockatoo is a handful made worse with the smokey air and we cannot go outside. He has too much energy to stay indoors!

Janice Ostrow

Free Flight videos with trainer interviews

Jennifer Perez

Be a part of a Live Stream of a Masterclass

Jennifer Perez

GALLAHS!!!!! temperament between two people. My Charlie girl loves me and my partner but not in the same room. How do we rectify this, any tips??

Leigh Blackler

Wider variety of species specific overviews ( while each bird is different, I think a general overview of a species, it’s traits, common behavioral issues, etc. would be helpful). Especially your thoughts on Military Macaws. I have always been drawn to this species but I know you guys are not fans so I have decided against them (but I don’t know the specifics as to why 🤣)

Laura

A reaction video where you react to clips people send you of them training their birds, to point out where they go wrong/what they could do better/body language etc

Gina Burlinson

I would love to know anything about cockatiels! Also as mentioned above a indoor flight skill training course would be awesome! And anything in direction scientific general bird knowledge would be cool!

Lucia Hellerhoff

Yes, this!

Carol Ewing

Indoor free flight and ideas to increase skill, provide challenge and maximize endurance. Also, conure aggression with strangers. The Lily video hit home for our household challenges but maybe a few more ways to better manage flighted birds with aggression, (if any other than leave them in their cage) general thoughts about resource guarding, etc. ❤

Elizabeth Rowe

I'd like to see more white cockatoos featured on the channel. ( Sorry Jamie lol). I also liked all of the examples you said!

Catrin Griffiths

FUN, entertaining videos more often of just you guys hanging out with your birds doing a whole lot of nothing but learning more about your flock's dynamics and personalities.

Ali Stergas

I'd like to see all of the suggestions you made!

Raskule

I'd love to see a video on knowing if and when you know your bird is ready for freeflight

Sonya Pett

I would enjoy and appreciate an indoor flight training course. It would be nice to get my chonk flying and more athletic!

Heather Fromme

I second the senior parrot videos!!!!

Heather Fromme

Do you mean watch them live? Or what do you mean? Currently we do film a lot of our consults and edit it down to share. We mostly share them exclusive to patrons and not on YouTube but some have made it on YouTube as well.

BirdTricks

* I'd love to take part in a live stream of a masterclass!  YES THIS 🙌 * I prefer seeing FUN, entertaining videos more often of just you guys hanging out with your birds doing a whole lot of nothing but learning more about your flock's dynamics and personalities.  Jamieleigh, I LOVED the piece you did about Morgan. That 1:1 interview with you was so moving & special.

Amanda Smart

I would like to see Jamie work with a white cockatoo and maybe overcome her (maybe only semi-) irrational fear of them - sorry! 😄

H Cornejo

I want to know more about cockatiels parrotlets and bork parakeets. Also how to bond with a sick bird. I got my budgie and she came with aspergillosis. I haven't had time to teach her how to like a syringe yet. And she hates medicine time so bad. Our bond has broken and she only likes me when I'm doing training sessions. So general advice about dealing with sick birds would be wonderful

Evelyn Herrington

Yes this!!

Angie Miller

Oh also, my parakeet is disabled. Some additional videos on how to train or interact with disabled birds would be amazing! Thank you for all that you guys do!

Angie Miller

I know you've done lots of videos with parakeets but I have two male cockatiels and would love a few more videos on this type of parrot, if possible. I'm having trouble with hormones in my 10 month old. There are a few things I need to fix but my current home cannot accommodate the changes I need to do. I'm hoping to be able to move in the next year or so but in the meantime, I need some help with his attitude! Thank you!

Angie Miller

I am loving the body language videos and Tastey Tuesdays with Patty. They really help (and are great for a laugh too!). I love seeing the difference tricks you are training to project birds. When I can see how you have done something it makes it easier when I try it.

Nyree Williams

I'd also love to see some anatomy posts so we can learn more about molting, feather care and general care for our birds physical health! For instance: what are blood feathers? Many would ask!

Brittany Hayes

I would love for you to continue with the baby bird content!

Brittany Hayes

Aviary tours

Li

I would love species specific videos especially because their isn't a lot of information out their for lorikeets. I would also love Livestreamed masterclasses. Also videos on how to stabilize common injuries or problems until you can get to an avian vet. I feel like every time a medical issue has every risen for me it's been in the middle of the night and you just want to stabilize until the morning when you can head to the avian vet. Lastly I would love a flight training course that was a more affordable price. I would love to flight training my baby but I cannot afford the $6,000. Maybe you could host group sessions in areas for around $500-1,000 so that more people could take these courses?

Kat Marocik

I would love to see more about smaller birds like cockatiels, parrotlets, lovebirds or parrots like the Senegal parrot. Also I would love to see more about taming a bird in a cage. Not everybody can let their bird fly freely in the house day and night (like we see in the budgie course with BlueBerry and Sugar).

Cindy Tangerman

I'd definitely like to see more hone consults. I would like to hear more of Patty's insights. Fun bloopers with your birds where things don't go as planned. Flight training previously clipped birds (which you have some but they are one off videos. Would like to see a series on it because I think a lot of people are dealing with it.) If possible, taming a former breeder bird. That is assuming they can be tamed. What happens to them after they are too old to breed? Also, caring for older/senior birds. I would have liked this when my senior cockatiel was still alive. Changing nutrition needs due to less activity. How to make cages safe from falls. Arthritis issues. Sleeping pattern changes. Personality changes post hormones (this was actually a very positive). These are all things I dealt with when my bird got very old.

Holden Kendrick

LOve watching the in home consults!!

Ali Stergas

Love in home consults as well

Mara

I would love to take part in a Masterclass Livestream

Mara

I'd love to see videos on cockatiels...bringing them home, getting them use to hands etc.

Mara

I would love to see species spotlight.

Mara

I think species specific content is a great idea. I would love to see that.

Karol j.

I’m based in Europe, so a livestream masterclass would be awesome!

Tatiana Pereira

I LOVE the in home consults I was just thinking this week about the doves. Would love to see them in training and a bit of their care as well. I know you mostly do parrots, but the other birds are equally fascinating! Maybe species specific diet tips, like just how much seeds should small birds eat, eclectus diet, etc

Carol Ewing

I would love to see more videos of you working through specific behavioral problems hands on with clients. In-home consults and masterclass videos are so helpful!

Joia Vita

This is a great idea. Seconded!

Joia Vita

I would also like to take part in livestreams of masterclasses

Abner Arias

I would love to see videos on training your family to work with your bird. Etc. What to do when family comes over.

Abner Arias

I would love to watch in home consults if the consult was okay with it!
