2022-11-18 19:21:15 +0000 UTCThis episode gave us the answer to an age-old question: what's stronger, God and unexpected straight romance, or a gay 20-year-old goth who's desperate for senpai to pat him on the head and tell him he did a good job? Anyway Akutagawa is great and every time he's onscreen I'm happy lmao. Love these two episodes (5 and 6) demonstrating that Kajii can actually be a legit threat under the right conditions with the rain of lemon bombs, another clash between gifted with similar powers (though we haven't seen another singularity happen... yet), one of my favorite Francis lines ("Money is a nightmare. Every time you obtain something you desire, you lose something you desire."), some hints about President Fukuzawa being the absolute badass he clearly had to be, Koyou's intro and a bit more Kyouka lore... and like 20 other things I can't think of all at once, but yeah, we come out of that incredible flashback arc and hit the ground running. BSD rarely slows down but it packs so much characterization and philosophy into nearly every second of itself that even though a lot of shows would've taken probably twice as many episodes to get this deep into their story, there are very very few times when it feels like anything is being rushed. Can't wait for your reactions to... uhh... I guess literally every single episode you haven't gotten to yet honestly. This shit just does not disappoint. It only ever gets better.
