2023-03-19 23:01:50 +0000 UTCI like that "Hell" scene. Valhalla is supposed to be a warriors heaven, to be able to drink, feast and fight for eternity. But here they spin this heaven into a hell, and ties it in to the view of war in this season. Just beautifully done

Yukimura sensei once said in a interview “you need to understand the violence in order to fight against it”, and that’s the main theme of the manga. If the S1 finale was the end of the epilogue, this episode is the true beginning of Thorfinn’s story, the Vinland Saga.
