That's unfortunate about the author. As you mentioned, the anime has a chance to elevate their work. So far, so good from what I can tell with my anime-only eyes. Don't worry. You know me. I won't let manga readers keep me from continuing if I'm enjoying it.

2024-04-23 15:47:43 +0000 UTCSo glad you enjoyed the episode! This was a great episode! You might get comments from other manga readers (I'm one too) that might speak disparagingly of the show. I loved what will be covered in S1, and what will be covered in S2 and beyond I think gets a bad rap because the author had what I think were health issues. The manga comes out at times monthly instead of bi-weekly. The manga sometimes does have pacing issues because of the authors health and skill, but an anime has such an advantage in padding out things with battles. Its so much easier to pad out things with cool and epic fights compared to a manga artist trying to keep up while struggling. So I'm glad you are enjoying it! I look forward to seeing how the anime continues to adapt things :)
