Like showing the wedding etc. you will see a lot of that sort of thing in older movies particularly the epic long ones. I would recommend Ben-Hur. It’s a historical epic deals with the Roman Empire and ancient Jerusalem and Jesus christ in the background, it literally had a cast of thousands and is considered one of the greatest films ever made. It also has one of the greatest action sequences ever filmed. It was made in the late 50’s I believe
