waterplay time color

You really have to let go of all pretense of control, and work layer upon layer in the realm of suggestion, until eventually the suggestions take on form. Maybe that's just a signal of my tenuous comfort with it. I remember loving watercolor as a child--I would often watercolor my coloring books over using pencils or crayons. My mom outfitted me with a box of fresh tubes, sponges, books, and some nice toothy paper a few years ago when I didn't have the space for it. Maybe she remembered me loving watercolor as a child too. Today's focus is tapping into that sense of play, watching the colors flow into and on top of each other.
